Meteor the space rover watches his mom blast off on a Mars mission and spends the day quietly searching the sky for her radio signal. His monster-truck friends Junk Boy, Sarge, and LT notice he is acting differently and try to draw him back into their rocket-jump games. After he loses his temper and runs off, they catch up and ask him directly what is going on, and he admits he misses his mom. A video message arrives, Sarge tells him it is okay to feel sad, and the friends end the night looking at constellations together.

William Watermore the Fire Truck

William Watermore, a fire truck, spends the day responding to emergencies across a city: a dumpster fire, a highway truck carrying propane tanks, and a warehouse full of fireworks. With his captain and team he puts out the fires and rescues trapped cars, including one named Jack. During the warehouse fire William himself becomes trapped, and his team comes back to pull him out. He ends by introducing himself as a Real City Hero and getting a ride home.
