Miffy and the Birthday Cake

Mother Bunny wakes Miffy and asks her to borrow chocolate, butter and flour from Auntie Alice for Father Bunny's birthday cake. On the way, Miffy meets Poppy Pig and Barbara Bear, who each mention their own ingredients, and by the time she returns home she has brought back vanilla, cream and sugar instead. Mother Bunny gently reassures her and turns the mix-up into birthday ice cream, which the family then enjoys together at dinner.

Michael spends the weekend pet-sitting the neighbour's dog, Yuko, with big plans to become her best friend. When Yuko prefers playing with his younger brother Carl, Michael feels left out, until the panda neighbour Stillwater shares a story about Dario, a mouse who learns the joy of giving. Michael realises that keeping Yuko safe and happy, and sharing the fun with Carl, is what good pet-sitting is about. The episode closes with the whole group heading out for a walk together.

BBQ

When salad is requested, Bingo is put in charge and ends up collecting a real green pepper, then yellow and red flowers as Muffin asks for each colour. Customers end up preferring Luke's version, which upsets Lyla until she tastes it herself. She apologizes and the two agree to become snack-invention partners.

Sitting in the thinking chair, Josh puts the clues together and realises Blue wants to take a picture. Magenta arrives and everyone poses for a group photo before the goodbye song.

Merry Mixup

The Fabulux Hotel has promised its guests holiday cookies, but the kitchen is out of them and the chef is sick, so Star and her pups take the job on. They gather ingredients and bake a batch, until Muggsy grabs salt instead of sugar and the cookies come out hard and inedible. With no time to start over, they tie ribbons and glitter on the ruined star-shaped cookies and turn them into tree ornaments. The hotel manager is pleased, Star gives Muggsy the credit, and every guest goes home with an ornament.

Smoothie

Bing is a young rabbit having a snack at home with his carer Flop. When the only banana left is too mushy to eat, Flop suggests blending it into a smoothie, and Bing helps add the milk and run the blender. Bing's carrot accidentally falls in and cannot be taken back out, which disappoints him until he tastes the result and finds the carrot smoothie delicious. He ends the day by happily telling a friend all about it.

Three Bite Rule

Pete the Cat helps his friend Grumpy the toad, who refuses to eat anything but flies, learn the 'three-bite rule': try something at least three times before deciding if you like it. Guided by Pete's patience, Grumpy works through his fear, first watching others try new things, then finally tasting a banana at the school potluck. He dislikes the banana but is proud he tried, and goes on to sample cauliflower, egg burritos, acorns and French toast. The episode ends with Grumpy urging Pete to take his turn tasting flies.

Birthday Soup

It is Little Bear's birthday, and he believes his mother has forgotten, so he decides to make Birthday Soup for any friends who might visit. After a quiet walk through the forest, he gathers vegetables and cooks a large pot of soup in the cottage kitchen. Hen, Duck and Cat arrive one by one and sit down together at the table to share the meal. Mother Bear returns with a birthday cake, showing she remembered all along.

Esme, a girl, and Roy, a large yellow monster, babysit a young monster named Simon while his grownups are away. When Simon's favourite fish and stinky cheese sandwich is eaten and the ingredients run out, the pair try a pretend restaurant, a spoon game and finally food sculptures to coax him into tasting something new. Along the way Simon has an upset moment that is calmed with a breathing exercise. By the end Simon happily tries carrots and other foods and proudly calls himself a food artist.
