Grandpa's Drum
Molly finds an old photograph of her grandfather Nat as a boy, singing and drumming with a young girl, and learns that he no longer sings because he gave his drum away long ago. With her friend Tooey, she uses clues in the photo (mountains, a water tower, train tracks, and partial letters on a sign) to locate the town of Tiritchik and find the now-grown woman who still has the drum. The elder Shyahtsoo explains that at boarding school Native children were forbidden from singing their own songs, which is why Grandpa stopped. Molly returns the drum, and during the community show Grandpa rediscovers his songs and drums alongside her, followed by a live-action segment of Alaska Native children sharing their own traditions.
Finding Out
The Hoobs, a group of colourful puppets named Iver, Groove, Tula and Roma, are sent by Hubba Hubba to find out how children discover things. Travelling in their music-powered hoob mobile, they explore by playing, asking questions, testing a drink, reading a book and meeting a girl named Emma at her computer. Along the way they make a tart, build a squidgy model and share a story about an encyclopedia. They gather everything into a closing Hoob News report, concluding that children find things out the same way hoobs do.
Internet
In this StoryBots: Answer Time episode, Bo investigates how the internet works after office worker Stacy accidentally sends a silly video to her boss. The answer is built up through library research, a journey through a stylised network, a film-noir parody about a 'sneeze case', and several music numbers. Live-action children pose the original question and Trevor Noah appears in office scenes as part of the framing story. By the end, Bo has traced the path from one computer through routers and servers back to Stacy's situation.
Red-Bellied Piranha - Is That a Water Monster??
Junior Rangers Leo, Katie and Peo set out on the Amazon River to investigate a rumoured 'river monster', which turns out to be a shoal of red-bellied piranhas. Peo gets stranded in the water, and a long chase follows as the friends pilot their transforming vehicle, Platypus 1, through submarine and flight modes while the piranhas pursue them. Adult Ranger Rocky arrives, removes the fish and rescues the group. The episode closes with him explaining that piranhas are misunderstood rather than monsters, and that children should stay back and avoid provoking them.
