Muffy Misses Out
Muffy, a confident organizer at Lakewood Elementary, is thrilled to visit Italy with her father but worries about leaving her friends to run the school bake sale. While she is away, the friends swap her Italian theme for New Orleans beignets and jazz, and the sale is a hit, which leaves Muffy feeling unneeded. When her friends realize how much her ideas and presence meant, they bring her back to help settle a disagreement over decorating the stage curtain. A short closing segment has real children explain who civil rights leader John Lewis was.
The General
Pound Puppies follows a secret team of shelter dogs at Shelter 17 who quietly find homes for strays without the humans noticing. In this episode a legendary rescuer known as the General turns out to be Dolly, a Southern poodle who arrives with sixty-seven puppies that all need homes. The dogs stage an adoption fair and run a hidden assembly line to adopt and swap the same puppies, while Cookie, the team's tough female dog, wrestles with being seen as 'one of the guys' and her feelings for leader Lucky. By the end every puppy is homed, the workers' jobs are saved when the governor adopts the last pup, and Cookie and Dolly each make peace with being themselves.
Nina's Wheels on the Bus Song
A nursery-rhyme video built around two back-to-back songs. In the first, a young girl named Nina pretends to be a bus driver in her living room and is joined by her dad as the lyrics walk through bus parts (doors, wipers, signals, horn, motor, daddies, wheels). The second song shifts to a red-haired child in a firefighter outfit acting out 'Wheels on the Fire Truck' with siren, hose, and ladder. The episode closes with another round of the fire truck siren refrain over the 'all through the town' line.
