Lots of Shallots

Sarah and Duck find tiny seeds tucked inside their newspaper and decide to plant them in pots in the living room. They water the soil, get muddy, clean up and then wait through dinner and bedtime for something to happen. The next morning small sprouts appear, and Sarah looks them up in her vegetable book before a character called the Plate Girl arrives to confirm they are shallots, the baby onions that stay small. The episode ends with Duck giving the little shallots gentle 'lessons' in the garden.

Fruit Bat

Bluey doesn't want to go to bed and wishes she could be a nocturnal fruit bat instead. Her parents move her through rocket ship play, a penguin bath, a bedtime story and lights out, while Mum sits beside her and suggests she try dreaming about being a fruit bat. Bluey then dreams of meeting her dad as a fruit bat on a football field, watching him score a try. She wakes the next morning, tells Mum about her dream, and asks for toast instead of fruit salad.

Caillou Hates Vegetables

Grandma tells Caillou a story about when he was three and refused to eat his peas and carrots. While he is at her house, grandpa takes him to the park and shows him how caterpillars, birds and squirrels each eat to get energy. Back home, Caillou and grandma pretend to be bears so the peas and carrots become 'berries', and he finishes his plate. Mom and dad arrive to pick him up, and the episode ends with cookies for dessert.
