Star is leading a yoga session with her pups on the terrace when Baby announces that winter ruins everything and heads inside to hibernate. Star first moves the yoga mat indoors and then offers freshly baked biscuits, but neither lifts his mood. Slivington points out that Baby keeps shivering, so Star sews him a full winter outfit with earmuffs, boots and a padded coat. Warm at last, Baby heads out, sees the snow-covered rooftop and decides winter is not so bad, and the episode closes with all three doing the happy penguin pose in the snow.

Bing is excited to watch fireworks from his garden with Flop, while friends Pando, Coco and Charlie play nearby. Sula arrives wearing earmuffs because she does not like the bangs, and Bing insists he is brave enough to go outside. When a huge rocket bangs overhead Bing races back in and hides under the kitchen table, upset by the noise. Flop adapts a pair of oven mitts into 'ear gloves' so Bing can step back to the window and enjoy the rest of the fireworks safely, and Bing recaps the lesson to the viewer at the end.

When Una learns her friend Silky is too worried to come, she leaves the show to reassure her and offers to stay by her side. Silky joins them, the friends welcome her with a berry, and the whole island watches the meteor shower together.

Over two days Lyla realizes Joey feels shy in crowds, and she finds ways to include him one person at a time while they work out why their rocket won't fly. The episode ends at the park, where they seal a leak in the bottle and launch their spaceship together with the whole class.

She heads to the real sleep-out feeling ready, sharing a campfire story and searching for shooting stars.

Extra headphones are arranged for the other dogs, and the whole group watches the fireworks together and wishes each other a happy New Year.

On the way in they pass trumpeting flowers, drumming flowers and jingling vines, and Doe, who is nervous about the dark forest, writes each new sound down as the group's expert. After Doe finds the guitar bush and Ray picks a new guitar, they realise nobody remembers the route home. Doe works out that they can retrace the sounds in reverse order, and the friends listen their way back out of the forest.

When the singer loses his voice, a young fan named Scatter overcomes his nerves and sings in his place. The episode ends with the whole group performing together at the concert.
