This program is well-balanced. It remains mostly easy to follow and process. It is a good fit for the recommended age. The pacing is calm. A child has time to watch and understand what is happening. The sound is soft and supportive. The visuals are calm and well-organized.

The story has a clear spine: the toddler's beloved doll gets covered in food, the friends make a plan to fix it, and the plan plays out to a close. One action leads to the next in a way a child can mostly follow, with a recognizable beginning, middle, and end. It does ask a lot, though, because it splits into several threads at once, Barry's errand to get the doll cleaned, the bickering sisters Helen and Agnes, and Kiff disguised as the doll at home, and each scene packs in a good deal of information. Holding all of those strands together takes real effort at six.

Underneath the comedy runs a warm thread: Barry comes to see the toddler Kristoff as a genuine friend and tells him so plainly. Flare-ups, like the two sisters snapping at each other over an old grievance, get settled before the end, so nothing is left hanging. The tone is uneven, though, because much of the humor leans on sarcasm and on grown-ups sniping at each other, and the adults are repeatedly the butt of the joke.
