Michael spends the weekend pet-sitting the neighbour's dog, Yuko, with big plans to become her best friend. When Yuko prefers playing with his younger brother Carl, Michael feels left out, until the panda neighbour Stillwater shares a story about Dario, a mouse who learns the joy of giving. Michael realises that keeping Yuko safe and happy, and sharing the fun with Carl, is what good pet-sitting is about. The episode closes with the whole group heading out for a walk together.

Lyla runs a pretend snack restaurant and invents a stacked cracker snack for her brother Luke, layering cheese, jelly, and strawberry. When a big order comes in, she teaches Luke and her companion Stu to make it step by step, and after the jelly runs out Luke swaps in honey barbecue sauce. Customers end up preferring Luke's version, which upsets Lyla until she tastes it herself. She apologizes and the two agree to become snack-invention partners.

Nancy falls in love with a pair of forty-dollar red shoes and is told by both parents that they cost too much for shoes she cannot wear every day. After learning the difference between a want and a need, she decides to earn the money herself through extra chores like weeding the garden and saving her piggy bank money. At the store she is caught out by sales tax and comes up short, then earns a tip by giving another shopper honest shoe advice. She finally has enough and buys the red shoes.

Horsey Ride

Bluey plays with her toy pony when her cousins Muffin and Socks arrive for a family visit with their parents. All four puppies want the pony at the same time, which sparks a series of small disputes and tearful moments. Through trial and error the children invent new games, a horsey ride, a dress-up salon and a pretend pampering parlour, so several of them can take part at once. By the end the cousins leave happily and Bluey hands the pony over for a final goodbye.

Silky's New Friend

On the Irish island of Puffin Rock, the seal pup Silky is thrilled about her new friend Clementine, who turns out to be a small clam. Her puffin friend Oona doubts what makes an ordinary clam special, but when Clementine disappears in the ocean the two search the coral reef together. Along the way they learn how clams bury themselves in the sand to escape seagulls, and Oona comes to see the clam's cleverness. They find Clementine and introduce her to Bernie and baby Baba, ending on the idea that even the smallest creatures can be amazing.

On Treat Your Creature Day, Pinecone sets out to celebrate her pony, Pony, and starts with his simple favorite things. After seeing Annabelle lavish fancy treats and a parade on her pony Paragon, Pinecone abandons the plan and throws an ever bigger, fancier party that Pony never wanted. She gets so caught up in it that she loses track of Pony entirely, then realizes what is special for one friend is not special for another. The two reunite, apologize, and end the day quietly wishing on shooting stars together.

Brother Bear is hitting well in a sandlot game when Papa suggests he try out for the Bear Country Cardinals, and Sister Bear decides to try out too. Brother grows jealous and afraid of losing his spot to his sister, so he fakes a sore arm to skip the tryouts. Sister catches the lie and encourages him, and the two practice together before the tryouts. In the end the coach is impressed by both and adds a second spot, so Brother and Sister both make the team.

Izzy lives on Magnetic Island in Australia with her family, who rescue and care for koalas. When a neighbour brings in a lost, dehydrated koala, Izzy and her wildlife doctor mum check her over, name her Rosie, and let her share resident koala Leia's enclosure for the night. Izzy then scouts three places on the island and tests leaf samples to find where Rosie will thrive. Rosie picks the leaf from near Izzy's school, so the family releases her there, and the episode closes with a goodbye and a safety message about hurt animals.

Imaginary Friend

Kiri, a small dinosaur, learns that her friend Lou has an imaginary friend named Dalvanius and begins to feel left out. Alone in the forest, she sings a 'Lonely Song' about having no one to play with, and her forest friends gather to comfort her and remind her she is not alone. After asking for some space, Kiri tries imagining her own friend and is delighted when the pretend play feels real. The episode ends as Lou invites her to come and play, and she rushes off to join in.

Louise's Secret

Ruby and her friend Louise share a secret, and Max, Ruby's younger brother, spends the episode trying to find out what it is and join in. The story moves between the rabbits' home, where an old telephone keeps Ruby and Louise in touch, and a small neighbourhood shop. Max keeps angling to be included while playing with a toy ambulance. By the end the secret is out and the situation settles.
