In the second half he accidentally breaks his mother's new winch, tries to replace it with a fake one built from parts-yard scraps, and finally tells her the truth. His mother forgives him and asks him to help with another repair.

Bumba and friends move through a string of short sketches: a costumed parade, children dancing in clown outfits, a robot dance, ball play, two worms meeting under the moon, and the clown characters eating bananas together on a desert planet.
