Spring Fever

On the first day of spring, Llama Llama promises to help both Nelly with her play date and Luna with her picnic on the same day. He runs back and forth across the neighbourhood carrying sacks, kickballs, balloons and tablecloths until he is worn out. Mama and his friends point out that he took on too much at once. Llama Llama then has the idea to combine both events into one shared picnic play date, and everyone celebrates spring together.

A Week at Grandma's

When Mama and Papa Bear leave for a week-long second honeymoon at Grizzly Mountain Lodge, Brother and Sister Bear stay with Gran and Gramps, sure the week will be dull. Instead the grandparents fill the days with harmonica and yo-yo lessons, building ships in bottles, harvesting honey, fishing, a barbecue, and dancing. The story cuts between the cubs' happy week and the parents' trip, where Papa keeps meeting small mishaps. The family reunites at the end, with the cubs asking to visit Gran and Gramps again and everyone planning a family vacation.

Three kitten siblings, Cookie, Pudding, and Candy, drive into the woods with their parents for a family picnic. When they realise the basket of food was left behind, they brainstorm wild ideas (a rocket trip home, a pizza delivery) before settling on practical alternatives: fishing in the pond, gathering wood, and foraging mushrooms with the help of Pudding's fungus guide. After making fire by rubbing sticks together, the family eats cooked mushrooms and the berries Mommy secretly picked, ending the day around a forest fire together.

In the robot town of Rebots, a golden robot named Doug is invited to join his friend Emma and her family on a beach vacation. When heavy rain cancels their flight, the family is stuck at home, and the children decide to recreate the whole trip indoors. They turn the bathtub into a pool, build a roller coaster from suitcases, and use lights Doug packed to hold a picnic under pretend stars. By the end they conclude that a vacation is really about having a good time together, and they call their day at home a 'staycation'.

Blue Mountains

On a family picnic, two dog sisters and a fairy set out beyond the Blue Mountains to find the softest, warmest beds in the whole world, all acted out with the family's own paws and feet. Along the way they climb hills, scratch open a magic wall, and meet a fox who claims to be kindly. The fox turns out to be a trickster and traps the cautious big sister, until her little sister rescues her. They make up, find the warm beds, and the story ends with everyone asleep.

The Band's First Gig

Pete the Cat and his friends practise as a band and decide to surprise the whole town with a concert at the picnic. Callie makes a detailed plan, but nerves set in and then a strong wind blows away the backdrop and drowns out their music. Remembering his brother Bob's advice to focus on having fun rather than on the plan, Pete leads the band to play anyway. They enjoy themselves, the town cheers, and their first gig turns out to be a success.

Two red ants live in a sunny field of crops where discarded human objects turn into rides and obstacles. Across a string of short, wordless segments they wrestle a giant coiled spring, hitch a lift on a flying drone, raft across a pond, roll a plastic egg through the grass and end up trapped inside a jam jar on a picnic table. Birds, spiders, beetles and a frog interrupt them along the way, and a boy and his drone controller appear at the edge of their world. Each segment closes on its own comic punchline before the next one starts.
