The Preachification of Convincing John

Mokey Fraggle grows troubled that Fraggles keep eating the crystal towers the hard-working Doozers build, so she persuades her friends to swear an oath to stop, even bringing in the smooth-talking Convincing John to sway everyone. Soon Fraggle Rock fills with unfinished buildings, and Mokey discovers the Doozers actually need the Fraggles to eat their towers so they have room to keep building. She admits she was wrong, apologizes, and releases everyone from the oath. Alongside this, Doc putters in his workshop with his dog Sprocket, puzzling over how to sew a button onto a fried egg.

What Would Freda Do?

Pinecone, who idolises her town's founder Frida the Fierce, is chosen to lead her friends in a group song for the festival honouring Frida. Believing a leader has to be 'fierce', she bosses everyone around until her friends leave to do their own presentations. In her attic she meets Frida's ghost, who reveals she never punched buildings into being but united the town by listening and combining everyone's ideas. Pinecone apologises, reunites the group, and they perform a song they wrote together about a place built on everyone's voice.

In a make-believe warrior world, young Pinecone and her friend Hoth decide to cheer up their sick teacher Gladys by cooking a magical 'Hero Soup'. The recipe needs a mysterious 'Essence of Hero', which sends them chasing heroic deeds and then a famous hero named Ace. When Ace is revealed to have faked all her rescues, Pinecone realizes a true hero simply helps others with what they need. The friends quietly take care of Gladys's chores, and the soup finally works.

Red Fraggle wants to show her friend Gobo a slide stunt, but everyone would rather hear Mokey's poems. Feeling overlooked, Red decides to become Mokey, copying her hair, her voice and her habit of gathering radishes and writing verse, until Boober mistakes the changes for a disease. Disguised as a bush, Red accidentally helps free her friends when a young Gorg traps them, and she decides she would rather be herself, master of the slide. In the human workshop, Doc prepares a costume for a party while his dog Sprocket ends up dressed as Doc.

A Token of Toughness

Pinecone, a young member of the Little Rumblers, is challenged by her mentor Gladys to find a personal token that represents an act of toughness. Set out to top Gladys' dragon scale, Pinecone leads Pony and her friends on a risky quest up the Dragon Mountains, losing companions along the way as the danger grows. Face to face with a huge dragon, she panics, flees the lair and returns with only a small pinecone, feeling like a failure. Gladys reframes the outcome, explaining that walking away to try again another day is its own kind of toughness, and Pinecone decides to keep trying.

Xavier returns to the campfire and tells a story that is both spooky and silly, about a ghost that tickles toes. A short closing story-time segment follows, in which Bradman and Furby find a secret garden to help a butterfly regain her colors.

O Prickly, Where Art Thou?

Pinecone, a young warrior, joins the Little Rumblers for their first overnight in the fearsome forest and secretly brings her stuffed hedgehog, Prickly, afraid the others will tease her. When Prickly is carried off by a griffin, she and her friend Pony chase him through skunks, dark woods and creatures to get him back. After a hard search, Pinecone admits in front of everyone that she loves her stuffy, and the other children and their leader Gladys reveal they have comfort objects too. The group works together to recover Prickly and ends the night with a campfire story.

Vulture's Nest

Craig and his friends Kelsey and JP meet a teen band called The Cutoffs, who teach them to play instruments and write a song. When the band loses its garage venue to a complaining neighbor, the kids help find a replacement in an abandoned barn near the creek. The barn is the very place Craig has feared since a past run-in with a vulture. He faces that fear, comes down to perform his song at the show, and the group names the new spot The Vulture's Nest.

Beginnings

In the underground caves of Fraggle Rock, Gobo's Uncle Matt decides to leave and explore what the Fraggles call outer space, which is really the human world beyond a hole in Doc's workshop wall. Matt asks Gobo to collect the messages he will send back, but Gobo is frightened of the workshop's dog, whom the Fraggles treat as a beast. Gobo visits the all-knowing Trash Heap, who tells him that friends help, so his friends go into the workshop with him. With their support Gobo retrieves the first message and the Fraggles celebrate.

Wembley and the Gorgs

When Boober's lucky walking stick breaks, Gobo and Wembley go to the giant Gorgs' garden for a new one, and Wembley is captured by the Gorg family. He enjoys being treated as their prized 'loyal subject' until his friends arrive to rescue him and are caught too. The Fraggles escape together, and Wembley realizes that comfortable captivity is still captivity. In a parallel thread, the inventor Doc leaves to collect an award but hurries home because he misses his dog Sprocket.

You Can't Do That Without a Hat

Boober, a worried Fraggle who is sure he is a coward, forgets to whistle a warning and his friend Gobo is nearly caught by a beast. On the advice of the Trash Heap oracle, Boober decides that wearing his hat makes him brave, then falls apart when the hat goes missing. His friends search everywhere for it while, in the human world above, Doc hunts for a lost tool and a Doozer named Flex goes astray. In the end Boober rescues Gobo from a Gorg without his hat and realizes his courage was his own all along.

Excalibear

Three baby bears searching for a home arrive at a medieval village of talking vegetables, where Grizz accidentally pulls a legendary sword from a stone and is crowned king. Drunk on power, he breaks the town well, fires the jesters and orders people around until an angry crowd rises up against him. Lady Lima calms the revolt, and when Grizz gives up the crown she is revealed as the true prophesied ruler and becomes queen. She exiles the bears from the village while still calling them friends, and the trio sets off to find their own destiny elsewhere.
