On the island of Puffin Rock, young puffin Oona and her friend Adam invite the owl Otto to the waterfall to watch salmon leap upstream at sunrise. First the little owlets Pip and Pop, and Oona's baby brother Baba, must be settled to sleep, so the friends try soft bedding, a game and counting sheep without success. They finally realise the owlets stayed awake because no one said goodnight, and once tucked in the babies drift off. The friends rush to the waterfall and just catch the salmon leaping before the sun climbs too high.

Pocoyo

The Big Sneeze

Pocoyo, Pato the duck and Ellie the elephant take turns building a tower out of coloured blocks in a plain, open space. Each time it grows tall, Ellie sneezes and knocks it over, which frustrates Pato until the narrator explains she has a cold and cannot help it. Pocoyo helps settle Ellie into bed to rest so the others can keep playing. At the end Pato appears to have caught the cold too, and the narrator says goodbye.

Find the Owls

On Puffin Rock, the puffling Oona and her playful little brother Baba set out with Mossy the shrew for a food hunt, then meet Otto, a young owl searching for his hidden brother and sister so he can finally sleep. The friends team up, each using a different animal skill, and follow a trail of owl pellets through the meadows and burrows. After several false alarms, mostly caused by Baba stopping to play, they find Pip and Pop fast asleep in the long grass. Otto can rest and Mossy can go and eat, while Baba is ready to keep playing.

Super Truck of Car City

The Bulldozer

At the site of Car City's new library, Carl finds Billy the bulldozer still working despite a cold. Carl sends him home to rest and calls in Super Truck, who drives to his cave and transforms into a bulldozer to take over the shift. Together with Edgar the excavator and Ethan the tipper truck, he pushes the scattered bricks into a pile, loads the mound of earth and spreads it across the front garden. The library is finished in time to open that evening, and the friends say goodbye until next time.

Phoebe & Jay

Bird Sitting

Phoebe and Jay, two children who live in the Topsy Towers apartment building, agree to look after their neighbour Miss Jean's bird Houdini for a night. With their dad trying to nap after his building work and their grandmother helping out, they follow Houdini's three-step bedtime routine: sing Twinkle Twinkle, cover his cage to block the light, and blow him a goodnight kiss. When they miss a step the bird flaps and squawks, and after the written instructions are lost, Phoebe turns the steps into a song with pictures to remember them. They finally get Houdini to sleep, and everyone settles down to rest.

Lucas the Spider

Lonesome Lucas

Lucas the spider wakes in the middle of the night after a costume party and finds that all his friends are fast asleep. He wanders the darkened family home, tries to play, sings himself a lullaby, and grows lonely as he wonders if he is the only one awake. His friend Dimple keeps him company and tells him a story about a brave little spider, which finally helps him drift off. As the sun rises the household begins to stir and Lucas is at last peacefully asleep.

Calming

Performers from Bounce Patrol sing a gentle bedtime lullaby that walks through getting ready for sleep. Set against an illustrated bedroom and dreamy skies of moon, stars and clouds, the song names familiar steps like brushing teeth, saying goodnight and tucking in a teddy bear. The performers and a young child are shown yawning, settling down and resting. It closes with a repeated 'Sleep, sleep, dreamy sleep' refrain and a 'Goodnight' message on screen.

Why Is the Moon Out During the Day?

Jessy, a girl with glasses, and Nessie, a purple monster in pyjamas, disagree about whether it is day or night when Nessie spots the moon in a daytime sky and wants her bedtime story. Curious about why the moon and sun are out together, they call up to the moon, try an observatory telescope, and are lifted into the sky by their friend Hugh G. They discover the moon and sun are best friends playing hide-and-seek, which is why both can appear at once. As the sky finally darkens, Jessy begins Nessie's bedtime story about the moon.

Pet Problem

Manny, a repairman with a set of talking tools, gets a call from Cassie that the rabbit cage at her pet shop is broken. On the way the tools daydream about getting their own pet, and once at the shop an accident sets all the rabbits loose. Manny keeps everyone calm and they lure the bunnies back with food before fitting a new latch and fixing the cage. By the end the tools decide their robot dog Fix-It is pet enough, since real pets are a lot of work.

Lucas the Spider

I'm Taking You In

Lucas the spider is babysitting when Arlo, a little owl, is frightened awake by a big noise and comes to him for comfort. Lucas offers to be his 'Lucas mama' and brings him inside, where Arlo wrestles, makes a mess, climbs into the dog's bed and demands a bedtime story. Lucas patiently manages the lively night with help from his friends. When Arlo's mother comes home, the owl thanks Lucas, heads back to her, and they agree to do it all again the next night.

Super Truck of Car City

Robot T-Rex Truck

At a demolition site in Car City, the work trucks Deen, Billy and Ethan are too worn out to bring down a building. Carl, a blue truck, drives out of the city to a cave where he transforms into a robot T-Rex. He returns and knocks the building down, leaving rubble across the road. He then helps the team clear the debris, working out how to shift a plank with his head when his short arms cannot reach, and the site is left clean.
