Lyla and her companion Stu try to work out how twin sisters Liana and Louisa always seem to know what the other is thinking. Lyla guesses at codes and secret signals, then secretly peeks in the twins' diary and gets caught, so she apologizes. The twins explain there is no secret: they simply spend so much time together that they notice each other's likes and can make predictions. Lyla spends a week observing her brother Luke and surprises him by making the exact breakfast he wants.

Grandpa's Drum

Molly finds an old photograph of her grandfather Nat as a boy, singing and drumming with a young girl, and learns that he no longer sings because he gave his drum away long ago. With her friend Tooey, she uses clues in the photo (mountains, a water tower, train tracks, and partial letters on a sign) to locate the town of Tiritchik and find the now-grown woman who still has the drum. The elder Shyahtsoo explains that at boarding school Native children were forbidden from singing their own songs, which is why Grandpa stopped. Molly returns the drum, and during the community show Grandpa rediscovers his songs and drums alongside her, followed by a live-action segment of Alaska Native children sharing their own traditions.

Find Mom's Phone

Lila and her family are on a camping trip when Mom's phone, holding all their hiking photos, goes missing. Lila leads Mom back along the trail, using landmarks they passed, rock towers, a eucalyptus tree, ribbons, a log bench and giant mushrooms, to retrace their steps. She finds the phone on the rock where the family had lunch, and they hurry back to camp before dark. The episode ends around a sunset campfire with the family singing a camping song.

Molly, an Alaska Native girl, hears how a pilot named Ellen Peniak inspired her mother to fly. When the library's books leave women pilots out, Molly digs deeper online and through Auntie Midge's stories, then flies along on a mail run where her mom lands safely by reading the wind off a lake. Together they write a booklet about Ellen and two other women pilots and leave it at the library so others can learn about them.

The Impossible Dream

A boy named Carl is building a spaceship from boxes, boards and odds and ends he borrows from his neighbour Stillwater, a panda who lives next door. When Carl's brother and sister insist the spaceship will never fly, Stillwater tells him the story of Joku, a farmer who refused to believe it was impossible to catch the sun. Encouraged, Carl decides to keep trying and lowers his sights to getting just a little way up. The episode ends with Carl, Addy and Michael taking turns on a pretend flight, thrilled that it feels like the spaceship is really soaring.

A Perfect Fit

In this Stillwater story, young Carl wants to help his older siblings Michael and Addy build a soapbox racer but feels useless when his offers to help keep getting turned down. Encouraged that everyone has a gift, Carl helps pick hard-to-reach lemons, names the racer, and discovers he is just the right size to drive it. Puppy Sitting

The episode ends with a live-action visit to the tundra near Nome, where Molly and local children learn about musk ox and their qiviut fur.

Da Get Pep Band
