Molly, Trini and Oscar walk home from school in an Alaska village where the winter sun sets in the early afternoon, and Oscar is sure a monster is waiting in the dark. The friends look up sunset times on a weather website, learn about the winter solstice, and try several plans to face the creature. Auntie Midge tells a story about a wolf pup who overcomes its fear of the dark by finding a pack. Emboldened by his friends, Oscar finally confronts the monster and finds it is just a large pile of snow.

In the Haunted House

Carlos has invented an instrument for a school concert, but it makes only a 'loopy' sound and he cannot fix it in time. When the magic school bus overheats, Ms. Frizzle's class ends up spending the night in what turns out to be the Sound Museum, a spooky old house where they chase mysterious noises and learn that sound is made by vibration. Guided by their questions and a living descendant of the museum's founder, Carlos works out that his instrument needs to vibrate freely, strips it down, and finally produces the sound he imagined. The episode closes with a phone call to the show's producer that reviews how sound and hearing work.

The Magic Ring

At school, Dora, Naya and Pablo are reading stories about ancient treasure to younger children when Pablo finds an old ring in the garden and shrinks to thumb size after putting it on. They match the glyphs on the ring against library books and learn that only placing it on Princess Xochitl's finger will break the spell, so all three shrink and travel through a tiny door into an ancient kingdom. With help from a mouse they dodge a greedy wizard and his cat, cross a puddle on a giant duck and climb up to the sleeping princess. The wizard's theft is exposed at his hut, the ring goes back on the princess's finger, and Pablo returns to school full-size with a medal and a story to tell.

Dot's Knightly Mission! The Search for Mr

Dot sets aside the coding game she is building to help Scratch the dog find his lost chew toy, Mr. Soggy. She teams up with Hal, who is pretending to be a chivalrous knight, Ruby, who is filming a movie, and two ninja kids, and together they search the garden, backyard and basement. Reasoning that the hot day sent Scratch napping downstairs, they discover the toy in the dryer, where Mom had washed it. Hal realizes that helping his friend made him truly chivalrous, and Dot signs off to plan her next adventure.

The Spookasaurus

On a ranch where children herd dinosaurs, the young Cassidy ranchers camp out after a long day and listen to Pa's spooky campfire tale about the 'Spookasaurus'. That night the herd bolts and the children chase a runaway baby stegosaurus into the dark, passing a glowing river, burning trees and a creepy cave that all match Pa's story. Inside the cave they discover the 'monster' is the frightened baby with its foot stuck, its howl echoing strangely, so they free it and reunite it with its mother. Along the way John admits he was scared and learns that being brave means helping even when afraid.

Don't Cave In

Four young dinosaurs, led by Tiny the triceratops, sneak into a cave that all the bigger dinos warn them to avoid, sure that a fierce monster called Shriekosaurus lives inside. As they work their way deeper, lighting glowing plants and calming their nerves with songs and jokes, they discover the 'monster' is really their friend Iggy protecting a beautiful hidden hangout. Tiny admits she was scared the whole time and coped by acting silly, and the group crosses the cave together. In the end Trey confesses he never entered the cave himself and praises his little sister as the truly brave one.

Journey to the Bottom of Naboo

A team of young Jedi, Kai, Nubs and Lys, travel underwater on Naboo with their Gungan guide Klert to recover a lost artifact called the Star Compass from a sunken starship. A recurring thief named Taborr races them for it and manages to grab the compass, but a giant Colo clawfish soon traps him. The Jedi choose to rescue Taborr and let the compass go rather than risk anyone's safety. In the end Klert reveals she quietly retrieved the compass, and everyone escapes the lake together.

Return to the Island

Max and his friends set out with Captain Barb in a rebuilt submarine to return a group of shark pups to their secret island, navigating spinning whirlpools and a monster-filled cave to get there. At the island, Sharkdog must decide whether to stay with the pups he calls family or go home with Max. He says a tearful goodbye but turns back at the last moment, choosing Max and then rescuing the crew when their submarine gets trapped in a vortex. The episode ends with the town celebrating Sharkdog as a hero back in Foggy Springs.

The Golden Son

Mia, a boarding-school girl, uses a magic book to travel to the fantasy land of Centopia, where she becomes a winged elf. There the unicorn Liria is about to give birth, so Mia and her elf friends Yuko and Mo decode an oracle and lead her toward a hidden birth cave while Queen Panthea and her servant Gargona try to capture unicorns. With help from the water and wind unicorns they reach the cave and a golden winged foal named Onchao is born, sparking a celebration. Back at school, Mia rejoins her friend Vincent, who shares a book his late father made for him.

Where's Papa Smurf?

In the Smurf village, Papa Smurf accidentally turns invisible after a clumsy Smurf knocks over his potions. To make an antidote, the Smurfs need a whisker from Gargamel's cat, so Brainy, Smurfette and the invisible Papa Smurf sneak into the wizard's house and pose as a ghost to steal it. They frighten Gargamel, grab the key and the whisker, and escape. Papa Smurf is cured and calls the village back to work.

My Smurf the Hero

Scaredy Smurf opens with a dream of being a superhero and confides in Handy, who builds him a costume, helmet, and jetpack. Calling himself Super Smurf, Scaredy tries to help around the village but causes a string of accidents and earns the nickname 'Super Zero.' When Gargamel captures Hefty and threatens to eat him, Scaredy gathers his courage, follows Handy's instructions through the jetpack's emergency controls, and lifts Hefty's cage out of reach. The village celebrates Super Smurf without learning his true identity, and Hefty privately tells Scaredy he should act more like the masked hero.

Brave Big Jungle Dinosaur Adventure

A family takes a wrong road and ends up in a forest full of dinosaurs. Across a rainy night the parents and their children run, hide and use fire to survive encounters with roaring creatures, from a gentle plant eater to charging predators. Dad reaches a rescue team by radio and a helicopter arrives, lifting some of the family to safety while promising to return for the others. The episode closes on the ongoing rescue with the group still working to escape the forest.
