The Impossible Dream

A boy named Carl is building a spaceship from boxes, boards and odds and ends he borrows from his neighbour Stillwater, a panda who lives next door. When Carl's brother and sister insist the spaceship will never fly, Stillwater tells him the story of Joku, a farmer who refused to believe it was impossible to catch the sun. Encouraged, Carl decides to keep trying and lowers his sights to getting just a little way up. The episode ends with Carl, Addy and Michael taking turns on a pretend flight, thrilled that it feels like the spaceship is really soaring.

Lyla, a girl who solves problems step by step with her blue companion Stu, joins a classroom project to build model spaceships with a partner. The children realize the evening was still worth it, hand out the moon pops, and close the night with shadow puppets and a song.

Petey the Stargazer

When Petey discovers it was all his friends' doing, he decides that having friends like them means anything is possible and keeps believing. They find her, and Janet lets go of her need to collect proof of everywhere she has been. The episode closes with a producer answering children's phoned-in questions about what the show got right and wrong.

A small spaceship lands near a town and a green visitor steps out to explore. It copies a flower and a row of mailboxes, then takes on Cony's appearance and wanders into the café where Brown is working, which leaves Brown staring at two identical Conys. The visitor returns to its ship, replays its recordings of the flower, the mailboxes and Brown and Cony crossing the street, and flies away. Brown and Cony end the episode outside the café sharing a drink.

The Aurora Perry-Alis

On a cruise ship sailing to view the once-a-decade tri-state aurora, stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb decide to lift the entire ship above the clouds using giant balloon animals and helium. Meanwhile Candace tries to show her mother the flying ship, the inventor Doofenshmirtz shrinks and pockets items around the ship while his pet platypus foils him, and his daughter reconnects with an old boyfriend. The clouds part just as everything comes together and the passengers finally watch the aurora. The platypus's owner is briefly arrested for bringing a pet aboard before the episode closes on the glowing sky.

In a suburban town during a heatwave, stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb build the world's largest zoetrope, a giant picture wheel they nickname 'Tropy McTropeface', which rolls loose and tumbles through the city, down a river and into space. Alongside this, Perry the platypus foils Doctor Doofenshmirtz's plan to tip City Hall on its side, sister Candace juggles chores, and a sun-hating news reporter is unmasked as the umbrella-stealing 'mother mugger'. The separate storylines cross paths through the runaway wheel and a passing meteor. By the end the wheel returns as a pair of Ferris wheels in the backyard and the characters gather to look on.

In a futuristic space station full of screens, control panels and robots, Tom the cat tries again and again to catch Jerry the mouse. He builds and fires a stream of gadgets, from a mechanical robot dog to rockets and ray-guns, but Jerry keeps turning each trap back on him. The story is told through slapstick and sound effects with virtually no dialogue. It closes on a final gag and a 'the end' card.
