Sad Baby

Star is leading a yoga session with her pups on the terrace when Baby announces that winter ruins everything and heads inside to hibernate. Star first moves the yoga mat indoors and then offers freshly baked biscuits, but neither lifts his mood. Slivington points out that Baby keeps shivering, so Star sews him a full winter outfit with earmuffs, boots and a padded coat. Warm at last, Baby heads out, sees the snow-covered rooftop and decides winter is not so bad, and the episode closes with all three doing the happy penguin pose in the snow.

The Fabulux Hotel has promised its guests holiday cookies, but the kitchen is out of them and the chef is sick, so Star and her pups take the job on. They gather ingredients and bake a batch, until Muggsy grabs salt instead of sugar and the cookies come out hard and inedible. With no time to start over, they tie ribbons and glitter on the ruined star-shaped cookies and turn them into tree ornaments. The hotel manager is pleased, Star gives Muggsy the credit, and every guest goes home with an ornament.

The Harvest Spirit

During a Harvest Festival dinner in the town of Sturdy Stone, Pinecone questions why everyone hides indoors from a Harvest Spirit no one has ever seen. She, her unicorn Pony and their friend Hawthorn set out on a nighttime quest, following an eerie moaning sound through the streets and into the swamp. They discover the sound comes from jilly-toads driven out of their flooded home by the town's heavy festival float. The town moves the float, frees the toads and celebrates together, agreeing to keep the tradition without harming the swamp.

Not Feeling the Fireworks

Star hands out party hats at her pink hotel and announces that this New Year's Eve there will be fireworks on the rooftop terrace. Her pups back out once they hear about the loud bangs, so Star first tries getting them to face their fear by playing loud sounds in the park, which only upsets them. She then offers her own headphones, the pups test them by asking her to play something loud, and it works. Extra headphones are arranged for the other dogs, and the whole group watches the fireworks together and wishes each other a happy New Year.

Sleepless at the Sleepover

A young boy named Hawthorne goes to his first sleepover at his best friend Pinecone's home in a magical kingdom, where her dad makes snacks and the families share dinner and music. When creepy puppets, shadows and unfamiliar surroundings keep him from sleeping, his parent picks him up in the night, leaving both friends sad. The children then study, prepare and train to try again, with Pinecone removing anything scary from her room. On the second attempt Hawthorne makes it through the night, and both families celebrate together over breakfast.

This Calls for Courage

Pinecone, a young warrior, sets out on her first solo mission with her pony to gather wild vegetables, refusing the Help Me Horn her dad offers so she can prove her independence. After getting lost, the pair tumble into an underground burrow where a large troll named Lichen seems ready to eat them, but he turns out to be lonely and kind, hiding away out of shame for needing help himself. Pinecone realises she should have called for help sooner, and the troll's booming bellow finally summons her dad, mom, and Lichen's own friends. Everyone reunites safely and heads off to share a salad, with the troll rejoining his community.

Noah Tries To Keep His Cool

Noah spends a hot day at the pool with his friend Coco, but he keeps avoiding the water. He tries an umbrella and then a snow machine to cool down, and the snow machine buries him instead. When asked what is wrong, Noah admits he never learned to swim because he was always traveling with his parents, and a friend points out he has a whole year with his abuela to learn. Noah then seeks out a swimming instructor who speaks only Spanish, and after some miming and persistence he manages to ask for lessons.

I Want to Be You

Feeling overlooked, Red decides to become Mokey, copying her hair, her voice and her habit of gathering radishes and writing verse, until Boober mistakes the changes for a disease. Disguised as a bush, Red accidentally helps free her friends when a young Gorg traps them, and she decides she would rather be herself, master of the slide. In the human workshop, Doc prepares a costume for a party while his dog Sprocket ends up dressed as Doc.

Speak From the Art

Annabelle, a warrior-in-training from a family of famous artists, is assigned to make something for the big art show but fears she has no talent for it. She joins Pinecone's family crafternoon, gets overwhelmed, and tears up her painting before running off in tears. Her mother June then unveils a painting of Annabelle mid-performance, showing she sees her daughter as a living work of art. Annabelle accepts her crafting token, feeling understood, and plans to share a crafternoon with her own family.

O Prickly, Where Art Thou?

Pinecone, a young warrior, joins the Little Rumblers for their first overnight in the fearsome forest and secretly brings her stuffed hedgehog, Prickly, afraid the others will tease her. After a hard search, Pinecone admits in front of everyone that she loves her stuffy, and the other children and their leader Gladys reveal they have comfort objects too. The group works together to recover Prickly and ends the night with a campfire story.

Craig brings a cicada shell to the creek to impress his friends and find a keepsake for his granddad, but a swarm of cicadas emerges and traps Craig, Kelsey, and JP in their hideout. They try a message in a bottle, ration old snacks, and are let down by Jason, who abandons them when there is no ice cream reward. Watching a captured cicada molt after seventeen years underground, they decide they can wait it out too and run to freedom. Craig frees the bug, keeps a shell for his granddad, and the friends pose for a photo.

After Craig takes the tag himself, they find a studious boy who hates the creek and tag him. The episode ends with Craig announcing that tag has left the creek forever and the friends reunited.
