Balanced
recommended age Unlock co-watching from 4

Pinecone, a young warrior, sets out on her first solo mission with her pony to gather wild vegetables, refusing the Help Me Horn her dad offers so she can prove her independence. After getting lost, the pair tumble into an underground burrow where a large troll named Lichen seems ready to eat them, but he turns out to be lonely and kind, hiding away out of shame for needing help himself. Pinecone realises she should have called for help sooner, and the troll's booming bellow finally summons her dad, mom, and Lichen's own friends. Everyone reunites safely and heads off to share a salad, with the troll rejoining his community.

Craig grows dependent on Fred until the dog is accidentally driven off in a couple's moving van. He enjoys being treated as their prized 'loyal subject' until his friends arrive to rescue him and are caught too. The Fraggles escape together, and Wembley realizes that comfortable captivity is still captivity. Sydney to the Max

Caved & Confused

Balanced
recommended age Unlock co-watching from 3

Sydney asks her dad Max to turn the family basement into a hangout of her own, which puts their tradition of watching the cooking show Hot Shot Chef together at risk. In parallel flashbacks, a young Max hides basement robot battles from his own mother by secretly doing the household laundry all week. Grandma steps in to pay for the renovated basement so the whole family has a place to gather. After Sydney's friends drift away, she and Max reconcile and watch the finale together, tying both timelines to the same idea about growing up.

Can't Dye This

Stimulating
recommended age Unlock co-watching from 3

Seventh grader Sydney decides she wants a bold new hairstyle for picture day, but her single dad Max forbids it, so she and her best friend Olive bleach and dye her hair at home while he is out. The plan goes wrong and leaves her with burnt, rainbow-streaked hair, mirrored by flashbacks to Max making the very same mistake as a boy in 1992. When Sydney calls him a hypocrite, Max admits she is right and explains that the fight is really about her growing up. They reconcile, she is still grounded, and he takes her back to the salon to fix the hair properly.

The Parent Track

Twelve-year-old Sydney wants to attend a '16 Oranges' concert without an adult, and when her dad Max refuses and secretly tracks her phone, she sneaks off anyway with her friend Olive. The episode intercuts this with a 1992 flashback in which a young Max lies to his own mother about his whereabouts using a new beeper. Both schemes fall apart, and father and daughter each confess and forgive. It ends with them agreeing to a 'trust reset' and a light-hearted punishment.

Adventures in Babe-Sitting

In the present day, Sydney and her best friend Olive start a babysitting service and take a job watching a boy named Dylan, only to be tempted away by his cool older brother and his friends. In a parallel 90s flashback, Sydney's dad Max as a boy tries to prove he no longer needs a sitter while a scary movie tests his nerve. The girls eventually choose their responsibility over being popular, send the older kids home and win Dylan over. Both stories end well, with the girls booked solid for weeks.
