Gaston the Ladybird

Ben the elf and Holly the fairy princess play with their friend Gaston the ladybird, riding on his back and watching him roll over. The next day Gaston will not come out, so they ask Nanny Plum for help and visit his cave. They find it messy and smelly and decide to clean it as a surprise, but Gaston cries when he sees what they have done. The friends realise Gaston loved his home just as it was, and they happily put back the cobwebs, smelly socks and dirt before running off to play again.

On the island of Puffin Rock, baby puffin Baba picks up a shell that turns out to belong to Bernie the hermit crab. His big sister Una realises the mistake and leads a search across the beach and grotto to find Bernie and return it. While they are away the tide comes in and washes the shell into a rock pool, and Una wades out to recover it. Bernie forgives the puffins, settles back into his best shell, and the day ends with everyone reunited.

The Story of Kevin the Crocodile

Lucy lives at 64 Zoo Lane and visits her animal neighbours at bedtime, where she meets Victor, a self-described mean crocodile, who must tell a story to join the party. Victor recounts how he tried to teach young Kevin to be a 'real' mean crocodile through lessons in scary eyes, scary grins and tail splashing. Kevin tries to scare his friends Doris the duck and Toby the tortoise, accidentally hurts Doris and rescues Toby from Victor. Kevin decides to stay his friendly self and the three friends end the day playing hide-and-seek before Lucy says goodnight.
