He reports back to his dad during a backyard bug hunt and ends the day imagining a hat full of magnifying glasses.

Two children, Emmy and Max, travel by a magic rhyme to a make-believe Dragon Land, where their friend Cassie keeps a pet caterpillar named Poozie. When Poozie disappears and the friends find her still inside a cocoon, they believe she has died and take turns saying goodbye. With help from the wise dragon Quetzal they search for a new pet, then watch the original Poozie emerge as a butterfly and learn that caterpillars change as they grow. The children return home eager to find real caterpillars of their own.

Simon, Lou and Ferdinand play a series of games together in the garden, including tag, Blind Man's Bluff and hide and seek. Ferdinand keeps pranking the others by revealing a worm, a beetle and other small bugs, sparking loud screams and short arguments about whether the jokes are mean. When the group hides in the attic, they spot a real spider, and Simon decides to carry it outside rather than squash it. The episode closes with Simon telling his friends that spiders really aren't that scary.
