By the time the new game is finally ready, everyone is enjoying Acorn Ball so much that Game Show Gator joins in too.

Car Park

Bing wants to play his car park game with Flop, but Charlie, a younger visitor, keeps parking vegetables and tips over the garage. Flop sets Charlie up with a separate game and then takes him to the kitchen so Bing can play on his own. Bing soon finds he does not enjoy playing alone, so he drives Charlie's potato back and the two play together. The episode ends with Bing deciding that playing together is more fun.

Donkey Hodie is babysitting a baby yodel bird in the puppet world of Someplace Else. When it is time for the baby's nap, he refuses to settle, so Donkey Hodie and her friends Purple Panda and Duck Duck each try the tricks that helped them sleep as little ones: quiet peekaboo, a slow nap dance and a nap book. Nothing works until they decide to think about what the baby himself needs, soothing him with rocking, a gentle breeze and a yodel lullaby. The baby finally falls asleep, and the tired friends admit they feel like napping too.

Jack's Surprise for Mr. Prickles

In the town of Clover Grove, cheerful host Jack learns that his new neighbor Mr. Prickles is homesick and misses the garden at his old home. Jack teams up with his friend Bibi, Chef and a young helper named Hugo to secretly plant a new garden full of tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini, plus a painted rock gnome named Terry. Songs about kindness thread through the gardening, all set in a bright cafe and backyard. At the reveal Mr. Prickles is delighted and says his house finally feels like a home.

Musical Statues

At an indoor play group it is Bing's turn to choose, and he picks musical statues. With Flop working the music, Bing, Sula, Pando, Coco and baby Charlie dance and then freeze each time the music stops, dropping out one by one when they wobble. Pando is the last statue standing, and Bing is disappointed that he did not win the game he chose, so he stops playing. He soon decides to rejoin because it is more fun with everyone, and the group settles in to play again.

Rusty's Chance to Dance

Two tractors, helpful young Otis and older, stiffer Rusty, decide to hold a harvest moon dance on their farm. They clear a cluttered hayfield, and when the radio breaks they gather friends to make instruments from a bucket, a jug and a washboard. Rusty grows sad when he is too creaky for his old jump-and-spin dance, so Otis helps him invent a slower wiggle dance called 'The Rusty.' The episode ends with the whole farm dancing together.

Tig, a young girl, goes to her first ballet class with her toy spider Woolly. She is put off when the teacher, Miss Lofty, calls out her instructions, so she sits at the side with Woolly instead of joining in. Woolly explains that the teacher is not cross but is making herself heard over the piano, and Tig works this out for herself and takes part. At the end Miss Lofty gives her a crown and names her a fairy princess.

Shiny Rock

Duck and Goose, two friends with very different personalities, set out across the meadow to find the shiniest rock after their friend Bluebird describes it and gives them directions. Distracted by a mud puddle and a frog, Duck leads them off the path and the pair end up lost in a forest. By remembering the silly things they did along the way and following a butterfly back toward the meadow, they retrace their route past the landmarks. They find the glowing purple rock together and celebrate how their differences make a good team.

Carl the Collector follows Carl, a young raccoon, and his friends in Fuzzy Town across two short stories. In the first, twin rabbit sisters Nico and Arugula open a hamster-sitting business and discover the difference between things they want and things they need after the hamsters escape and Carl helps catch them with fruit. In the second, Carl gets new sneakers that turn out to be the wrong size and works up the courage to tell his mother, who arranges to exchange them. Both stories close with the friends together and each problem resolved.

Gonzo Says

A boy named Kingston has a backyard play date with the puppet friends Kermit and Gonzo. They start with a quick round of I Spy, then Gonzo leads a Simon Says style game called Gonzo Says, calling out actions like mooing, doing the groovy chicken and running in place. Kermit slips up by moving without the magic phrase, and it is smoothed over as a practice round. The episode ends on a comic note when a big sneeze arrives and Gonzo answers with 'Gesundheit.'

In the Night Garden

Makka Pakka's Trumpet

In a softly lit live-action garden, Iggle Piggle, Upsy Daisy, Makka Pakka and the smaller families (Pontipines, Tombliboos) move through their evening together. Makka Pakka's small trumpet starts to make a funny noise; Upsy Daisy dances to comfort him, and the friends discover that a stone has lodged inside it. Once the stone is removed the trumpet sounds right again, and Makka Pakka offers the stone to Upsy Daisy as a present. The narrator closes the episode with a 'once upon a time in the night garden' recap that retells the small story before bedtime.
