On a ranch where dinosaurs serve as the farm animals, siblings Jon, Min and Miguel are woken each morning by their pterodactyl friend Teddy. After an accident with a hay machine wrecks Teddy's roost, Miguel builds him a fancy new one high on the barn, but Teddy calls out all night and no one can sleep. The children try a new pillow and extra features, then camp out to watch him, and discover that Teddy simply missed sleeping near his friends. They move him back to the clubhouse and the whole ranch finally rests.

Mazu, a young dinosaur who feels too slow to keep up with her friends, is desperate to grab one of the giant walnuts that the big winds will knock from the trees. She tries invented springy legs, tall stilts and various running tricks, and each one fails. When the winds come and the towering Gigantosaurus gives chase, Mazu realises the huge walnut leaves can be used to glide to safety. The friends escape, share their walnuts with another creature, and Mazu learns that she thinks quick even if she cannot run quick.

Carlos has invented an instrument for a school concert, but it makes only a 'loopy' sound and he cannot fix it in time. When the magic school bus overheats, Ms. Frizzle's class ends up spending the night in what turns out to be the Sound Museum, a spooky old house where they chase mysterious noises and learn that sound is made by vibration. Guided by their questions and a living descendant of the museum's founder, Carlos works out that his instrument needs to vibrate freely, strips it down, and finally produces the sound he imagined. The episode closes with a phone call to the show's producer that reviews how sound and hearing work.

The Spookasaurus

On a ranch where children herd dinosaurs, the young Cassidy ranchers camp out after a long day and listen to Pa's spooky campfire tale about the 'Spookasaurus'. That night the herd bolts and the children chase a runaway baby stegosaurus into the dark, passing a glowing river, burning trees and a creepy cave that all match Pa's story. Inside the cave they discover the 'monster' is the frightened baby with its foot stuck, its howl echoing strangely, so they free it and reunite it with its mother. Along the way John admits he was scared and learns that being brave means helping even when afraid.

When Tiny gets pinned, the timid Bill faces his fear and stirs up a geyser to draw Giganto away for a bath. Everyone makes it home safely and celebrates Bill's bravery.

She invents plan after plan to peel a scale, and each one fails, from a vine-and-rock cutter to a gentle grabber. Encouraged by her friends Rocky, Bill and Tiny to keep trying and to use her head, she finally realises she can outsmart the raptors with a trap instead. The dragonfly is freed, her eggs hatch safely, and a loose scale drifts down to Mazu at the end.

Newly crowned Princess Elena must host King Toshi of Satu while keeping a promise to help her little sister Isabel finish an invention for the fair. Chancellor Esteban quietly manipulates the schedule to make Elena look unready and claim power for himself. Torn between duty and family, Elena finally leaves the royal feast to help Isabel, and they repair the machine together using a spare-parts necklace. King Toshi is impressed that Elena values family as much as her kingdom and agrees to the trade alliance.

Rocky admits he was wrong, apologizes to Tiny, and the friends work together to pull everyone to safety. The episode ends with the group at ease and Rocky ready to relax.

Spellbound

Fierro tries to steal the spellbook, but Mateo finds his confidence, freezes the wizard and brews a potion to reverse the spell. The families are restored at sunrise and the kingdom celebrates its new royal wizard.

Mia and her friends track down the blueprint, rebuild it piece by piece and drive off Panthea's munculus to save the unicorns. Back in the real world, Mia decides to face her test and asks Vincent to study with her.
