Nancy takes her little sister JoJo for a sleepover at the fancy Mrs. Devine's house and packs a survival kit to help JoJo feel brave. Once the lights go out, it is Nancy herself who cannot sleep because she misses her parents. With Mrs. Devine's kindness and a phone call home, Nancy learns that feeling homesick in a new place is normal. She decides to stay and the sleepover ends happily.

Host Jessi, a male co-host and Squeaks the robot rat get ready to visit their friend Sam the bat in his cave. Along the way they explain that a cave is a habitat, show real footage of an olm, a Mexican tetra and a cave spider, and point out that these animals have no eyes. They walk the viewer through why deep cave animals rely on smell and touch instead of sight, and invite the child to close their eyes and notice their own senses. The episode ends back in the studio as the hosts finish packing for the trip.

Passion of Edward

Edward, a small green character in a pink cap, takes on a picnic bundle far bigger than he is and hauls it across town to the park. He pushes it past shop fronts, waits at a pedestrian crossing, gets knocked over near a passing car and struggles up a long flight of stone steps. He reaches Brown, Choco, Moon and Sally at the blanket just as a downpour hits and blows the food and umbrellas into the air. The sun returns with a rainbow, the friends gather round Edward and share what is left, and the episode closes on a wall of framed photos.

Red spends day and night guarding a nest of three eggs through rain, snow and darkness until Matilda arrives and takes over so he can leave for the beach. On holiday he cannot switch off: coconuts, rocks and the sun all look like eggs to him through his camera. Back at the nest the other birds play around while a crowd of pigs creeps in, and Red races home in a panic to find the nest empty before the eggs turn up safe. The episode ends with Red back on the sand, this time with the three eggs in deck chairs beside him.

Ryan's Robot Employee of the Month

A worker running a pretend McDonald's counter alone orders a robot helper called Helpatron 2001 to get through a huge drive-thru order. The robot works at hyper speed but sends out the wrong food, customers complain and the manager arrives asking questions. To settle who deserves employee of the month, the two compete to build the best Happy Meal and a manager judges both entries. The worker wins and receives a framed photo, the robot leaves as agreed, and she is left looking at the mess still to clean up.
