The Preachification of Convincing John

Mokey Fraggle grows troubled that Fraggles keep eating the crystal towers the hard-working Doozers build, so she persuades her friends to swear an oath to stop, even bringing in the smooth-talking Convincing John to sway everyone. Soon Fraggle Rock fills with unfinished buildings, and Mokey discovers the Doozers actually need the Fraggles to eat their towers so they have room to keep building. She admits she was wrong, apologizes, and releases everyone from the oath. Alongside this, Doc putters in his workshop with his dog Sprocket, puzzling over how to sew a button onto a fried egg.

What Would Freda Do?

Pinecone, who idolises her town's founder Frida the Fierce, is chosen to lead her friends in a group song for the festival honouring Frida. Believing a leader has to be 'fierce', she bosses everyone around until her friends leave to do their own presentations. In her attic she meets Frida's ghost, who reveals she never punched buildings into being but united the town by listening and combining everyone's ideas. Pinecone apologises, reunites the group, and they perform a song they wrote together about a place built on everyone's voice.

I Can Swim

Noah, a young boy with a tiny mouse perched on his head, and a red-haired girl in swim goggles spend this segment in the water learning to swim. A bouncy song walks through the steps one by one: float like a boat, point your feet and kick, paddle your arms, and blow bubbles like a fish. The Spanish phrase 'puedo nadar' (I can swim) appears on screen and in the refrain throughout. By the end the children put all the steps together and celebrate being able to swim.

Sleepless at the Sleepover

A young boy named Hawthorne goes to his first sleepover at his best friend Pinecone's home in a magical kingdom, where her dad makes snacks and the families share dinner and music. When creepy puppets, shadows and unfamiliar surroundings keep him from sleeping, his parent picks him up in the night, leaving both friends sad. The children then study, prepare and train to try again, with Pinecone removing anything scary from her room. On the second attempt Hawthorne makes it through the night, and both families celebrate together over breakfast.

I Want to Be You

Red Fraggle wants to show her friend Gobo a slide stunt, but everyone would rather hear Mokey's poems. Feeling overlooked, Red decides to become Mokey, copying her hair, her voice and her habit of gathering radishes and writing verse, until Boober mistakes the changes for a disease. Disguised as a bush, Red accidentally helps free her friends when a young Gorg traps them, and she decides she would rather be herself, master of the slide. In the human workshop, Doc prepares a costume for a party while his dog Sprocket ends up dressed as Doc.

Vulture's Nest

Craig and his friends Kelsey and JP meet a teen band called The Cutoffs, who teach them to play instruments and write a song. When the band loses its garage venue to a complaining neighbor, the kids help find a replacement in an abandoned barn near the creek. The barn is the very place Craig has feared since a past run-in with a vulture. He faces that fear, comes down to perform his song at the show, and the group names the new spot The Vulture's Nest.

Beginnings

In the underground caves of Fraggle Rock, Gobo's Uncle Matt decides to leave and explore what the Fraggles call outer space, which is really the human world beyond a hole in Doc's workshop wall. Matt asks Gobo to collect the messages he will send back, but Gobo is frightened of the workshop's dog, whom the Fraggles treat as a beast. Gobo visits the all-knowing Trash Heap, who tells him that friends help, so his friends go into the workshop with him. With their support Gobo retrieves the first message and the Fraggles celebrate.

The Thirty-Minute Work Week

Wembley, a young Fraggle who cannot make up his mind, is expected to choose a job like every other Fraggle. He tries gathering radishes in the Gorgs' garden and considers Boober's laundry work, but nothing fits, and his friend Gobo pretends to reject him to force a decision. After seeking advice from the Trash Heap, Wembley decides to become a fireman, and the Fraggle Rock Volunteer Fire Department welcomes him even though none of them, including Wembley, know how to start a fire. Alongside the main story, Doc tinkers in his workshop with his dog Sprocket while Gobo reads a postcard from Uncle Traveling Matt about a wild train ride.

A Whale Tale

Noah, a young boy, is sent by his abuela to help their neighbor señor Rodríguez, who is tired and needs his shop swept. As Noah pieces together the Spanish words for the task, he imagines a giant whale rising from the sea during a boat adventure. Back in the shop, Noah and señor Rodríguez sweep together and the older man thanks him. The episode closes with a short song about sweeping, 'Barrer, barrer, me gusta barrer'.

The Thirst to Be the First

Kiff, an excitable young squirrel, is determined to be the very first person to drink from the new water fountain at her school in Tabletown. On the big day her tail droops and her parents, reading it as illness, keep her home to rest. Kiff spends the episode inventing one scheme after another, from faking good health to staging a phone call as her own doctor, to slip past her father and reach the ceremony. She finally realizes her drooping tail was only thirst, is allowed to go, and ends up getting the first sip after all.

Two for One Hot Dogs

Kiff, an excitable squirrel, and her best friend Barry eat two-for-one hot dogs and then spot a billboard reading 'It doesn't get better than this.' Taking it literally, the two become convinced they have already peaked in life and spend the episode trying to disprove it, visiting a carnival, confronting the hot dog vendor, asking a neighbor for a magic spell, and finally checking into a retirement home. When none of that helps, they slip out to watch other kids play and realize that the best time keeps happening as long as you stop chasing it and simply enjoy yourself. The episode ends with the pair back in good spirits, no longer ruled by the billboard's slogan.

You Can't Do That Without a Hat

Boober, a worried Fraggle who is sure he is a coward, forgets to whistle a warning and his friend Gobo is nearly caught by a beast. On the advice of the Trash Heap oracle, Boober decides that wearing his hat makes him brave, then falls apart when the hat goes missing. His friends search everywhere for it while, in the human world above, Doc hunts for a lost tool and a Doozer named Flex goes astray. In the end Boober rescues Gobo from a Gorg without his hat and realizes his courage was his own all along.
