The Meteor Shower

On a night on Puffin Rock, young puffin Una and her family and friends set out to watch the August meteor shower together. Along the way they gather hedgehogs, owls and others heading for the sand dunes, while a narrator explains how shooting stars are made. When Una learns her friend Silky is too worried to come, she leaves the show to reassure her and offers to stay by her side. Silky joins them, the friends welcome her with a berry, and the whole island watches the meteor shower together.

Starry, Starry Night

Doc offers to fix her friend Henry's new telescope so he can watch a meteor shower, and inside her toy clinic it appears as Aurora, a toy telescope who cannot see clearly. Doc runs an eye exam, diagnoses 'blurry star-itis' and works out that an eyepiece is missing. The toys search the dark yard, find the missing piece, and fit it back so Aurora can see. Everyone returns in time to watch the meteor shower together through the repaired telescope.

At Grizzly Ted's summer day camp, Sister Bear and her friend Lizzy spend their days swimming, hiking, and doing crafts, until the counselor announces an overnight sleep-out on Skull Rock. She heads to the real sleep-out feeling ready, sharing a campfire story and searching for shooting stars.

Just as the moon starts to darken, clouds roll in and hide the best part, leaving the children disappointed. The children realize the evening was still worth it, hand out the moon pops, and close the night with shadow puppets and a song.

Too Much TV

In their woodland home, Mama Bear decides Brother and Sister are watching too much television and bans it for a week, and Papa has to give up his hockey too. Bored at first, the cubs invent a pretend cardboard TV, then start identifying birds and keeping a checklist, and the family spends a night naming stars and watching a meteor. When Saturday returns and the TV comes back on, the cubs stay just as keen on spotting birds outside. The episode ends with Brother rushing to show Sister a scarlet tanager through the binoculars.

Forgotten Fuzzy

Little Llama packs a big bag and goes for his longest sleepover yet at Grandma and Grandpa's house. After a day of picking vegetables, cooking, riding the tractor and stargazing, he realizes he left his stuffed Fuzzy Llama at home and cannot imagine sleeping without him. His grandparents comfort him, and Grandpa offers Little Linty Llama, the very toy he slept with as a boy. The next morning Little Llama reunites with Mama and Fuzzy, proud that he stayed the whole time and made a new friend.

Can You Touch the Stars?

Little Nut Brown Hare and his friend Little Field Mouse spend one evening in the forest trying to touch a star after hearing Little White Owl's bedtime story. They climb a hill, a tree and ask the bluebird for help, learning from Big Nut Brown Hare that stars are far away. In the end they touch a star's shimmering reflection in the river. The night closes with the little hare and his father gazing at the sky and sharing how much they love each other.

Treat Your Creature

On Treat Your Creature Day, Pinecone sets out to celebrate her pony, Pony, and starts with his simple favorite things. After seeing Annabelle lavish fancy treats and a parade on her pony Paragon, Pinecone abandons the plan and throws an ever bigger, fancier party that Pony never wanted. She gets so caught up in it that she loses track of Pony entirely, then realizes what is special for one friend is not special for another. The two reunite, apologize, and end the day quietly wishing on shooting stars together.

Sam's Campout

Sam ends the night feeling brave and ready to sleep under the stars.

Stargazing

Eddie, a boy whose favourite thing is space, gets ready to go stargazing in his garden and is joined by his friend Akeel. A guiding voice walks him through each step: choosing a clear spot, setting out chairs, a torch and binoculars, dressing warmly, waiting for dark and turning off lights, then looking up at stars, planets and constellations. Eddie shares facts and is reminded to check whether Akeel has any questions. When it is time to stop, Eddie is reluctant, but Akeel reassures him he can stargaze again, and the episode closes with a recap of the steps.
