In 'Carl's Cast,' Carl is frustrated by a broken wrist until Sheldon offers to be his other hand, and after their plans go sideways they patch up their friendship and Carl finds his own ways to manage one-handed. Both stories end with the friends together and Carl feeling more like himself.

Vivi then confesses to Mel, who forgives her, and the two agree to fix the plane together with glue. The episode closes with a song about how telling the truth, though hard, can be the kindest thing.

With encouragement from their teacher Miss Emerald, the sisters stop competing, work together with Dee, and take the gem back using a banana decoy and the help of flying woo-hoo birds. The episode ends with the friends sharing banana pudding, followed by a short scene introducing Quentin, a bumblebee scout looking to earn an explorer badge.
