In their woodland home, Mama Bear decides Brother and Sister are watching too much television and bans it for a week, and Papa has to give up his hockey too. Bored at first, the cubs invent a pretend cardboard TV, then start identifying birds and keeping a checklist, and the family spends a night naming stars and watching a meteor. When Saturday returns and the TV comes back on, the cubs stay just as keen on spotting birds outside. The episode ends with Brother rushing to show Sister a scarlet tanager through the binoculars.

Dad explains that once money is spent it is gone, and the coins then pass from hand to hand around the market until they land in a busker's guitar case. The episode closes with Bluey losing another tooth.

He plays for the empty stadium, the crowd returns, and Griselda joins the dancing after True points out that dancing together is the most fun.

Cousin Muffin arrives for a sleepover overtired after skipping her afternoon nap, just as Bluey and Bingo have been promised they can stay up late. The girls invent a string of pretend games, a restaurant, a chip shop and a police chase, partly to stretch the evening out, while Mum balances her promise against Muffin's need for sleep. Muffin grows sillier and droopier until the girls are finally sent to bed at eight o'clock. The next morning a tired Bluey wakes to find a pretend flamingo tucked into Muffin's sleeping bag.

True asks the wishing tree for three wishes and uses Elongi to stop the ball, Glooboo to pull the objects free and Zizou to move the leftover energy back into Zee's staff. Bartleby admits what he did, the kingdom returns to normal, and the two end the day together on a hill.

The heroes finally team up on a plan, trapping Rhino with webs and a big throw, and return the bear. Hulk ends the day calm enough to ring the strength bell and win a prize of his own.

Kit refuses them at first, then uses them mid-race and knocks every other competitor out of the running. When she sees the Mayor stranded in danger, she stops short of the finish line to help, lets him take the win, and apologises for cheating.

When the mother returns she lights the oven, burns the wolf's tail and sends him fleeing into the woods, and the kids tell her what happened. The episode ends with Masha searching a video screen for another cartoon.

The Big Tree City Rescue team suspects that Major Prickles has launched his yearly secret test, so when they are sent to save a squirrel dangling from a multi-storey car park they treat the bananas, bouncing balls and giant hammer as planted traps. The rescue turns out to be a dummy, the team goes on strike, and the Major eventually admits he set it up. A second call brings a real emergency, a clown trapped inside an overinflated balloon drifting above a child's birthday party, which the team almost ignores as another trick. They turn back, bring the clown down, and the Major tells them they have finally passed secret test day.
