Grandpa's Drum

Molly finds an old photograph of her grandfather Nat as a boy, singing and drumming with a young girl, and learns that he no longer sings because he gave his drum away long ago. With her friend Tooey, she uses clues in the photo (mountains, a water tower, train tracks, and partial letters on a sign) to locate the town of Tiritchik and find the now-grown woman who still has the drum. The elder Shyahtsoo explains that at boarding school Native children were forbidden from singing their own songs, which is why Grandpa stopped. Molly returns the drum, and during the community show Grandpa rediscovers his songs and drums alongside her, followed by a live-action segment of Alaska Native children sharing their own traditions.

There they identify the right carriage just as a cleaning robot starts sealing it, and Pablo's soccer kick opens the door in time. Mono goes back to Miguel, and the leftover toys from the lost and found find homes with the other children.

Miss Frizzle turns the search into a field trip on the Magic School Bus, which shrinks and hops the students through a meadow, a tree, a fast stream and finally a beaver pond, testing each spot for the food, water, space and shelter a frog needs. Wanda finds Bella safe at the pond, where a heron and a new frog friend named Herman make it clear this is her real home. Wanda decides to leave Bella there and say goodbye, and the class returns to school.

Petey the Stargazer

Petey, a boy who loves stargazing, decides aliens must not be real after a supposed UFO turns out to be a blimp. When Petey discovers it was all his friends' doing, he decides that having friends like them means anything is possible and keeps believing. The horses are returned to Farmer Ana Maria, and now there are enough for all the children waiting to ride.

Real children then share their own funny misunderstandings.
