Encouraged, Carl decides to keep trying and lowers his sights to getting just a little way up. The episode ends with Carl, Addy and Michael taking turns on a pretend flight, thrilled that it feels like the spaceship is really soaring.

Lyla refuses to quit and invents a new way to learn: the children hop across giant notes drawn on the ground while singing, feeling the length of each beat with their bodies. It works, and all three join the band for a final celebration.

In the end they lure the enormous Gigantosaurus with a walnut, and he knocks the boulder loose in a way that finally lifts Ayati to her feet. The friends celebrate as Ayati heads home to the jungle before nightfall.

When the winds come and the towering Gigantosaurus gives chase, Mazu realises the huge walnut leaves can be used to glide to safety. The friends escape, share their walnuts with another creature, and Mazu learns that she thinks quick even if she cannot run quick.

The pack works through one idea after another, scratching, shaking, singing, a UV light and total darkness, to reveal the rest of the map. When unexpected snow falls, they realize that anything frozen melting on the paper is what makes the map appear, pointing to a secret island reachable only when the sea freezes. Along the way Sharkdog briefly feels alone and is reassured by Max before the friends agree to reach the island once they have some patience.
