The Fabulux Hotel has promised its guests holiday cookies, but the kitchen is out of them and the chef is sick, so Star and her pups take the job on. They gather ingredients and bake a batch, until Muggsy grabs salt instead of sugar and the cookies come out hard and inedible. With no time to start over, they tie ribbons and glitter on the ruined star-shaped cookies and turn them into tree ornaments. The hotel manager is pleased, Star gives Muggsy the credit, and every guest goes home with an ornament.

Not Feeling the Fireworks

Star hands out party hats at her pink hotel and announces that this New Year's Eve there will be fireworks on the rooftop terrace. Her pups back out once they hear about the loud bangs, so Star first tries getting them to face their fear by playing loud sounds in the park, which only upsets them. She then offers her own headphones, the pups test them by asking her to play something loud, and it works. Extra headphones are arranged for the other dogs, and the whole group watches the fireworks together and wishes each other a happy New Year.

What Would Freda Do?

Pinecone, who idolises her town's founder Frida the Fierce, is chosen to lead her friends in a group song for the festival honouring Frida. Believing a leader has to be 'fierce', she bosses everyone around until her friends leave to do their own presentations. In her attic she meets Frida's ghost, who reveals she never punched buildings into being but united the town by listening and combining everyone's ideas. Pinecone apologises, reunites the group, and they perform a song they wrote together about a place built on everyone's voice.

I Can Swim

Noah, a young boy with a tiny mouse perched on his head, and a red-haired girl in swim goggles spend this segment in the water learning to swim. A bouncy song walks through the steps one by one: float like a boat, point your feet and kick, paddle your arms, and blow bubbles like a fish. The Spanish phrase 'puedo nadar' (I can swim) appears on screen and in the refrain throughout. By the end the children put all the steps together and celebrate being able to swim.

Sleepless at the Sleepover

A young boy named Hawthorne goes to his first sleepover at his best friend Pinecone's home in a magical kingdom, where her dad makes snacks and the families share dinner and music. When creepy puppets, shadows and unfamiliar surroundings keep him from sleeping, his parent picks him up in the night, leaving both friends sad. The children then study, prepare and train to try again, with Pinecone removing anything scary from her room. On the second attempt Hawthorne makes it through the night, and both families celebrate together over breakfast.

I Am Harry Houdini

Brad is nervous about spending his first whole night in the museum, so Xavier and Yadina take him through the Secret Museum back to 1881 Wisconsin to meet young Harry Houdini. Houdini wants to become a brave performer like a fearless tightrope walker, and learns to take a slow, deep breath to calm himself before doing something scary. The friends bring the technique home and Brad uses it to settle his fear and stay the night. A short bonus story about Bradman and Furby and a secret garden follows before the credits.

Big Trouble in Lil Labyrinth

The Little Rumblers, a squad of kid warriors led by Pinecone and her pony, arrive expecting a physical obstacle course, but it has been replaced by a magical labyrinth run by the WizKids. Room by room, each child clears a puzzle using a hidden talent, playing musical circles like a harp, solving a riddle, reading a shifting tile pattern and dancing across, while Pinecone worries she has no skill to offer. She finally uses her rope-jumping game to get the group through the last room. Everyone is awarded a Most Valuable Warrior token, with the lesson that every talent, big or small, has value.

Hero Soup

In a make-believe warrior world, young Pinecone and her friend Hoth decide to cheer up their sick teacher Gladys by cooking a magical 'Hero Soup'. The recipe needs a mysterious 'Essence of Hero', which sends them chasing heroic deeds and then a famous hero named Ace. When Ace is revealed to have faked all her rescues, Pinecone realizes a true hero simply helps others with what they need. The friends quietly take care of Gladys's chores, and the soup finally works.

Noah Tries To Keep His Cool

Noah then seeks out a swimming instructor who speaks only Spanish, and after some miming and persistence he manages to ask for lessons.

I Am Marie Curie

Yadina is sad she is too young for the Butterfly Club, and Marie learns she cannot attend the university because she is a girl. Back home Yadina starts her own junior butterfly club open to everyone, and a short hide-and-seek scene in the dinosaur exhibit closes the file.

The Final Book

Kelsey, Craig, and JP set out to find the missing final book of the Dragonmancer series after it goes overdue at the library. Framed as a detective case from the 'Smarty Boys' mystery books, they interview kids who are role-playing as horses and ninjas, chase down a red turtle shell backpack, and hit several dead ends. Craig eventually deduces that Stacks, who writes book reports for other kids, hid the book. Stacks admits she was afraid of losing the only friend who talks with her about stories, and Kelsey forgives her and suggests they read a new series together.

At the center they find a trampoline guarded by a boy immune to poison ivy who only wanted a place of his own. Craig decides to keep the spot a secret for him, and the group bounces home in time for dinner.
