The Fabulux Hotel has promised its guests holiday cookies, but the kitchen is out of them and the chef is sick, so Star and her pups take the job on. They gather ingredients and bake a batch, until Muggsy grabs salt instead of sugar and the cookies come out hard and inedible. With no time to start over, they tie ribbons and glitter on the ruined star-shaped cookies and turn them into tree ornaments. The hotel manager is pleased, Star gives Muggsy the credit, and every guest goes home with an ornament.

Not Feeling the Fireworks

Star hands out party hats at her pink hotel and announces that this New Year's Eve there will be fireworks on the rooftop terrace. Her pups back out once they hear about the loud bangs, so Star first tries getting them to face their fear by playing loud sounds in the park, which only upsets them. She then offers her own headphones, the pups test them by asking her to play something loud, and it works. Extra headphones are arranged for the other dogs, and the whole group watches the fireworks together and wishes each other a happy New Year.

Treat Your Creature

On Treat Your Creature Day, Pinecone sets out to celebrate her pony, Pony, and starts with his simple favorite things. After seeing Annabelle lavish fancy treats and a parade on her pony Paragon, Pinecone abandons the plan and throws an ever bigger, fancier party that Pony never wanted. She gets so caught up in it that she loses track of Pony entirely, then realizes what is special for one friend is not special for another. The two reunite, apologize, and end the day quietly wishing on shooting stars together.

In a make-believe warrior world, young Pinecone and her friend Hoth decide to cheer up their sick teacher Gladys by cooking a magical 'Hero Soup'. The recipe needs a mysterious 'Essence of Hero', which sends them chasing heroic deeds and then a famous hero named Ace. When Ace is revealed to have faked all her rescues, Pinecone realizes a true hero simply helps others with what they need. The friends quietly take care of Gladys's chores, and the soup finally works.

It's a Pony Thing

In a warm fantasy village, the wizardly mentor Grey Moon leaves Pony in charge of a rare cocoon that will hatch into a glowing lunar butterfly named Winnie. Pinecone, sure that her best friend would rather adventure with her, keeps inventing ways to skip the job, and her makeshift alarm fails so they miss the hatching. When Pony turns out to have quietly cared about Winnie all along, Pinecone apologises and the two track the butterfly to a dark cave and return her home. The episode ends with the friends agreeing to spend part of the afternoon doing their own separate things.

Pinecone accidentally breaks the lance she built with her mom, Queen Kimya, just before the craft fair. With her companion Pony, she sets off on a quest through the town, visiting a lance shop and a wizard to secretly replace it before her mother notices. Each attempt falls short, and the magical copy never quite matches the original. At the fair Pinecone tells the truth, and her mom responds with a hug and the promise that they can make new lances together.

After getting herself put in charge of the public library, Kiff declares it a 'loud library' where noise is allowed, and the librarian quits to go back to baking souffles. She brings the librarian back to restore calm, and the two agree to share the space, a quiet area and a spot for loud readers.

Absorbed in the project, Craig pushes away his friends Kelsey and JP, and they wander off and discover another cardboard town Carter once abandoned. When Carter uses a giant cardboard robot to crush the rival city, Craig realises building means nothing without his friends. The three reunite, stop the robot, and Carter storms off vowing to return.

The Straight and Arrow

Princess Pinecone, an eight-year-old archer, is thrilled to meet her hero Prince Randolph at a garden party, but he is arrogant and dismissive. Stung by his taunts, she challenges him to an archery duel with her trophy at stake, and when he cheats with his falcon she cheats back using a wizard's magic arrows. On the verge of winning, she confesses to the crowd that she used enchanted arrows and does not deserve the prize. The king makes Randolph return the trophy, and the group shares cake as Pinecone decides she would rather be herself than be like the prince.

Bring Out Your Beast

Craig wants to learn the card game Bring Out Your Beast so he can bond with his older brother Bernard, and secretly borrows Bernard's rare and powerful Beast Snare card. When another kid, Turner, gets hold of the card and starts stealing everyone's beasts at the creek, Craig and Bernard team up to win it back. Craig finally beats Turner by playing an overlooked card that damages whoever steals it. The brothers reconcile and Bernard lets Craig keep the collection.

Fourth Bath

Kiff arrives for her first sleepover at the Bunz family home and is welcomed as an honorary member with a hand-me-down sweater. When she learns the family takes baths in age order and she would be stuck with the fourth bath, she schemes her way up the hierarchy, making deals and tricks with each sibling to claim the first bath. Her meddling stirs up squabbles and chaos across the household, and she feels guilty enough to try to leave. The family forgives her, explains that sibling rivalry is just part of family life, and tells her she is now truly one of them.
