On a rainy day in the forest, Zack and Lily discover that rain has formed a stream washing away the town's roads, and with the construction Zerbies they try blocking it with dirt, then dig a pit to hold the water, and finally redirect the stream away from town. In the second story Zack and Rex play hide-and-seek, and Rex, a big yellow car, keeps failing to hide behind a rock and under sticks and leaves until he covers himself in mud and blends into the plants. Rex is crowned the hide-and-seek champion, and the friends head off to wash the mud away. Both stories are set entirely outdoors among real water, dirt and trees.

X Marks the Spot

At a sunny beach, Harvey the dog and his friends are playing when Jack, dressed as a pirate, arrives with a treasure map. The group digs where X marks the spot but finds the chest empty, which leaves Jack too discouraged to keep playing pirate. To cheer him up, Harvey, Robin and the others secretly make a new map and fill a chest with real treasures, a shell, an ice cream ticket and a basket of fruit. Jack follows the new map, uncovers the surprise, and everyone ends with a song about being thankful.

The Crew Finds a Rainbow Treasure

A crew of construction pups discovers a buried gem that turns out to be the first clue to a legendary rainbow treasure. Guided by Grandpa's legend, they solve four rhyming riddles that send them digging at a mountain, a park and a lake to collect four triangle stones before sunset. When the stones smash together in a truck, the pups rebuild them with concrete and assemble the final clue. They follow the light to a treasure chest of golden tools and raise them to create a rainbow over Builder Cove.

A Ferry Tale

Emily Elizabeth bathes and grooms her giant red dog Clifford so he can enter a dog of the year contest judged by Lily Lavallee on Birdwell Island. Clifford tries to stay clean but ends up muddy after helping his dog friends dig up a buried bone at the beach. When the ferry carrying the judge gets lost in thick fog, Clifford swims out and guides the boat safely to the dock. Lily names him dog of the year for his bravery, and Emily tells him he is dog of the year to her every day.

The Crew Builds a Dinosaur Museum

A team of construction pups on a family picnic day dig up dinosaur bones and decide to build a museum in their town, Builder Cove. As they uncover a velociraptor, a stegosaurus and a tyrannosaurus rex, they keep rebuilding the museum bigger and taller to fit each new skeleton. The digging and building teams stay in touch and solve each sizing problem, ending with a glass dome so the tallest dinosaur can peek out. The episode closes with the mayor opening the finished museum as the town celebrates.
