Hank, a young boy, hosts his first slumber party with his three friends: Trash Truck, a bear named Donny and a raccoon named Walter. They tour his bedroom, eat pizza, wash up, watch a bit of TV and then settle into a tent in the backyard. When the dark turns out to be too much, they wake Hank's parents and finish the night in the big bed.

Little Bear's Shadow

Little Bear comes home wanting someone to play with, but his friends are all busy and Father is painting the house. Out in the forest and by the pond he discovers his own shadow and spends the day treating it as a new friend, climbing trees, playing hide-and-seek, and sitting with Frog. He brings the shadow home for dinner and asks for it to stay over. The day ends as Mother tucks him into bed and he says good night to his shadow.

A Chopsticky Situation

Three children who travel with a circus, Leo, Andy and Carmen, spend a day in Beijing, China, where Leo's dad serves a Chinese breakfast of dim sum eaten with chopsticks. Everyone but Leo quickly gets the hang of the chopsticks, and he grows frustrated and convinced he will never learn. Their friend Luna, the Moon, encourages him and walks him through a memory rhyme and a steadier grip. By the end Leo eats happily with chopsticks and the group enjoys more food, learning that practice and patience pay off.
