Three Bite Rule

The Dung Beetle

On a calm afternoon on Puffin Rock, young puffin Oona struggles to learn digging while her baby brother Baba spots a dung beetle. The two follow the beetle as it rolls its dung ball home across the dunes, over a river and through the meadow before its food dries out. When the beetles still need to dig their nest, Oona overcomes her earlier discouragement and digs the hole for them. She finishes proud of both the beetle and her own new skill, ready to tell Mama and Papa.

No-Go Mofongo

Alma's Puerto Rican family is hosting a backyard cookout, and her mom decides to make great-grandmother Cecilia's famous mofongo from an old recipe book. When the dish does not taste right, Alma secretly tries to fix it herself and only makes it worse, all while struggling to tell her busy mom the truth. After stopping to think it through, she admits what happened, and her mom reassures her and invites her to fix the mofongo together. The episode ends with the family enjoying the rescued dish at the cookout.

Farmer Ben explains, using chickens and sheep, why following the crowd is a mistake. Brother takes the lesson to heart, refuses the next round of dares, and returns Sister's rope.

Animals That Eat Poop

The family ends the night at home, with Papa heading back out for a candy apple of his own.

Itchy Head Lice
