The Dung Beetle

On a calm afternoon on Puffin Rock, young puffin Oona struggles to learn digging while her baby brother Baba spots a dung beetle. The two follow the beetle as it rolls its dung ball home across the dunes, over a river and through the meadow before its food dries out. When the beetles still need to dig their nest, Oona overcomes her earlier discouragement and digs the hole for them. She finishes proud of both the beetle and her own new skill, ready to tell Mama and Papa.

Dressing Up

Peppa and George find a box of old clothes in their parents' bedroom and dress up as Mummy and Daddy Pig. Staying in character, Peppa pretends to work at Mummy's computer and visits Daddy Pig, played by George, digging in the garden. The children get muddy playing along, then Mummy Pig appears with ice cream. She plays into the game before revealing she recognized them all along.

Scratch's Hidden Treasures

Scratch, a small new digger, arrives for his first day on Bob's construction team and is disappointed when Bob asks him to watch the others instead of giving him a job. While practising digging on his own, Scratch uncovers a buried vase that the museum curator David Mockney recognises as the long-lost Mockney Monk vase. The episode ends with Bob and the team welcoming Scratch as a full member of the crew.

Max's Wormcake

Ruby, a young rabbit, sets out to plant a marigold garden in the backyard for her dolls, explaining how the flowers need water, soil, stones and plant food. Her little brother Max keeps gathering the same worms, water and stones to build his own 'worm cake.' When Ruby finally goes to plant her marigolds, she finds Max has used everything and grows frustrated. In the end Max helps return what the flowers need, and Ruby thanks him.

Rothschild's Giraffe

Leo and his sister Katie, both junior rangers, find a young Rothschild's giraffe in their garden and learn what makes it rare. They set out by jeep to bring it to a protected area in the savannah. When the jeep gets stuck in mud, they dig it out and lay twigs for grip, with the giraffe helping by gathering branches. They free the jeep, deliver the giraffe to its new home, and recap what they learned.

The Renovation Truck

Penny the plane is flying a large sweet delivery over Car City when her bag tears open and the whole load pours down onto a building site, burying Billy the bulldozer. Penny fetches Carl, who picks a new configuration in his underground base and arrives with a wrecking ball and a shovel. He knocks down the wall blocking his reach, digs Billy out, and then discovers his bucket is too small to carry all the sweets away. Billy joins in with his blade, the three finish the delivery together, and Penny thanks everyone before flying off.

X Marks the Spot

At a sunny beach, Harvey the dog and his friends are playing when Jack, dressed as a pirate, arrives with a treasure map. The group digs where X marks the spot but finds the chest empty, which leaves Jack too discouraged to keep playing pirate. To cheer him up, Harvey, Robin and the others secretly make a new map and fill a chest with real treasures, a shell, an ice cream ticket and a basket of fruit. Jack follows the new map, uncovers the surprise, and everyone ends with a song about being thankful.

Monkey Underground

George, a curious monkey living in the country, discovers gophers tunneling near the Rankins' grape farm. When farmer Rankin hires Mr. Calhoun to catch and relocate the gophers, George sets out to save them by digging a tunnel to lead them to his own yard, learning to use a compass and borrowing a digging rabbit along the way. He races against Calhoun's heavy machinery, and Calhoun ends up scooping George up by mistake. Mrs. Rankin decides the gophers are less trouble than Calhoun and lets them stay, leaving George to clean up the churned-up yard.

My Best Friend

The Crew Finds a Rainbow Treasure

A crew of construction pups discovers a buried gem that turns out to be the first clue to a legendary rainbow treasure. Guided by Grandpa's legend, they solve four rhyming riddles that send them digging at a mountain, a park and a lake to collect four triangle stones before sunset. When the stones smash together in a truck, the pups rebuild them with concrete and assemble the final clue. They follow the light to a treasure chest of golden tools and raise them to create a rainbow over Builder Cove.

Lofty and the Diggers Three

Lofty the crane feels left out of what Scoop, Muck and Dizzy call their 'Diggers Three' club. While the team helps Bob and guest designer Tony Toberomi clear hills for a new theme park, Lofty quietly 'borrows' flowers, a pirate hat and a surfboard to suggest themes, but each idea turns out to be one the diggers already had. When the last hill turns out to be rocky, Lofty's lifting reveals a diplodocus skeleton, which becomes the park's dinosaur theme; Rubble then tells him the Diggers Three was only a made-up name and the team folds him into a new 'dinosaur club'.

Orca

Leo, a junior ranger, is out recording birdsong with his puppy Hero when he meets Ranger Rocky, who has rescued an orca and is taking it back to the sea. Leo's sister Katie shares facts about orcas, including that they are also called killer whales and that some are endangered. At the beach the group finds a stranded orca and works together to keep it wet and cool until a rescue team arrives. The episode ends with the orca given a safe home and the children praised for their help.
