Shadow

Bing, a young rabbit, discovers his shadow while playing in the garden and plays a game of shadow tag with his carer Flop, taking turns as the 'shadow monster'. When a big rain cloud covers the sun, the shadows vanish and the two head indoors, but Bing is upset that his shadow is left out in the wet. Flop explains that a shadow stays close to you and only appears when light reaches you, then uses a torch to bring Bing's shadow back inside. The episode closes with Bing recapping the game and the idea that shadows need light.

The Scents of Spring

He sets out with Little Field Mouse to find its source, smelling hyacinths, bluebells and orange blossom, and exploring the woods and creek, but nothing is quite right. That night he goes to bed disappointed, comforted by Big Nutbrown Hare. The next morning he realises the special smell is all the scents of springtime rolled into one, and the two hares end with their 'Guess how much I love you' exchange.

Frog

Bing and his friend Sula find a frog in the garden while helping Flop water the plants, and decide to make it a home in a bucket. They bring the frog grapes, lettuce, milk, a bed and a blanket, but it will not settle and hops away. With Flop's help, Bing works out that the frog has gone back to its own dark, wet, slimy pipe because frogs like different things than he does. The episode ends with Bing recapping what he learned and the familiar 'it's a Bing thing' tag.

Smoothie

When the only banana left is too mushy to eat, Flop suggests blending it into a smoothie, and Bing helps add the milk and run the blender. He ends the day by happily telling a friend all about it.

Field of Flowers

Little Nutbrown Hare sets out one spring morning to pick purple flowers to share with his father and friends in the meadow. He gathers so many that the butterflies who feed on their nectar are left with none, so with help from Little Field Mouse and Bluebird he leads the butterflies to a large field of flowers far away. Along the way he learns that the flowers are there for everyone to share. The story ends back home, where father and child exchange their 'Guess how much I love you'.

Blossoms

Little Nutbrown Hare, his father Big Nutbrown Hare and Little Field Mouse follow blossoms floating in a stream and set out on a springtime journey to find the blossom tree they came from. On the way home they realise the stream will carry them back the way the blossoms came, a quicker route. The story ends back where they began, with a tender exchange about how much they love each other.

March Like an Ant

The episode ends with father and son under the old oak tree, sharing the last berries and measuring how much they love each other.

Can You Touch the Stars?

The night closes with the little hare and his father gazing at the sky and sharing how much they love each other.
