Pocoyo, a small boy in a blue outfit, finds a red umbrella and sets out to discover what it is for, watched over by an off-screen narrator who talks him and the viewer through it. He opens and closes it, hides under it and plays with his friends Loula the dog, Pato the duck and Elly the elephant, trying the umbrella as a boat and a swing. When clouds gather and rain starts to fall, Pocoyo raises the umbrella and keeps everyone dry. The narrator wraps up by thanking the viewer and Pocoyo before saying goodbye.

A curious girl named Jessy and her purple sea monster friend Nessie set out to discover why it is so windy today after Nessie's red ribbon blows away. They ask talking trees, racing leaves and a cloud family, then reason that walking into the wind will lead them to its source. They find a giant pink balloon whose sneezing is causing all the wind, and they tie off his loose end with the ribbon to stop it. The wind calms, the balloon feels better, and Nessie ends up with an even nicer purple ribbon.
