Fig, a young fox, finds a long loopy tube and joins his friend Maple and his companion Stick to gather popcorn for the evening picture show. At Popcorn Canyon the sun pops the kernels, but the light popcorn floats away whenever Fig tries to toss it down to the bowls below. After watching a mother cuckoo carry popcorn through the tree to feed her chicks, Fig realises he can use his tube to send the popcorn straight into the bowls. With the bowls full, everyone heads home for the firefly-lit picture show.

A boy named Carl is building a spaceship from boxes, boards and odds and ends he borrows from his neighbour Stillwater, a panda who lives next door. When Carl's brother and sister insist the spaceship will never fly, Stillwater tells him the story of Joku, a farmer who refused to believe it was impossible to catch the sun. Encouraged, Carl decides to keep trying and lowers his sights to getting just a little way up. The episode ends with Carl, Addy and Michael taking turns on a pretend flight, thrilled that it feels like the spaceship is really soaring.

Encouraged that everyone has a gift, Carl helps pick hard-to-reach lemons, names the racer, and discovers he is just the right size to drive it. The episode ends with Carl steering the finished racer down a hill while his siblings cheer.

In the second story Zack and Rex play hide-and-seek, and Rex, a big yellow car, keeps failing to hide behind a rock and under sticks and leaves until he covers himself in mud and blends into the plants. Rex is crowned the hide-and-seek champion, and the friends head off to wash the mud away. Both stories are set entirely outdoors among real water, dirt and trees.

Manny returns to find the finished fort, and the family wraps up with a playful pretend gator chase.
