By working out the hidden steps together, Wayne performs the trick himself and is invited to join Deandra's show.

The friends try several ways to stop the sponges before leading them out to the open ocean with a kelp-covered Flounder as bait. Ariel admits her father was right that magic does not replace doing the job herself, and the friends form a 'clean team' to tidy the palace by hand.
