Acornball

Shadow

Bing, a young rabbit, discovers his shadow while playing in the garden and plays a game of shadow tag with his carer Flop, taking turns as the 'shadow monster'. When a big rain cloud covers the sun, the shadows vanish and the two head indoors, but Bing is upset that his shadow is left out in the wet. Flop explains that a shadow stays close to you and only appears when light reaches you, then uses a torch to bring Bing's shadow back inside. The episode closes with Bing recapping the game and the idea that shadows need light.

Makka Pakka Washes Faces

A long bedtime story set in the Night Garden, a dreamlike outdoor world of puppet creatures. Makka Pakka travels from friend to friend (Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy, the Tombliboos and the ten tiny Pontipines), washing each one's face with his sponge, soap and water. Between visits, the camera follows characters strolling slowly through grass and flowers while a soft narrator describes what is happening. The episode ends with everyone, including a briefly forgotten Igglepiggle, being tucked into bed as the narrator wishes them all goodnight.

Can You Touch the Stars?

Little Nut Brown Hare and his friend Little Field Mouse spend one evening in the forest trying to touch a star after hearing Little White Owl's bedtime story. They climb a hill, a tree and ask the bluebird for help, learning from Big Nut Brown Hare that stars are far away. In the end they touch a star's shimmering reflection in the river. The night closes with the little hare and his father gazing at the sky and sharing how much they love each other.

Rainy Days

The rain stops and they return to their colour-naming game. The episode ends at home, where father and son go to bed and share how much they love each other.

Superhero Squabble

They disagree about whose pretend power is better, and the argument grows until they declare maybe they should not be friends anymore. They make up, agree that friends can argue and still be best friends, and team up to finish their superhero game.

Abadas is a CBeebies show in which three animal friends, Seren, Harry and Ella, play a word game introduced by Ben, a character who lives in a book. In this episode the word is 'cloud', and Seren flies up into the sky to discover what a cloud looks like. Along the way she meets a balloon that pops and a feather that tickles before finding a real cloud that is white, floats and makes rain. The episode ends with the friends recapping what they learned and singing goodbye.

Games with Potato

Baby Gonzo introduces a girl, Reagan, to his best friend Potato, an actual potato, and the three set out to play games together in a sunny backyard. They try tag and then hide and seek, but Potato never chases or hides, so they decide he must be tired. The episode ends with Gonzo and Reagan softly singing 'Twinkle, twinkle, little star' as a lullaby and whispering 'Sleep tight, Potato'.

Cousin Hodie's Rainy Day

Donkey Hodie introduces a 'rainstorm brainstorm' and together they find rainy-day fun: splashing in puddles, smelling flowers, sharing a snack with Purple Panda, and reading a story with Grampy about a magical rainbow tree. When the rain keeps them from seeing the real rainbow, the friends make their own friend rainbow out of friends in every color. The rain finally stops, the rainbow tree bursts into color, and the cousins celebrate their day together.

When it all feels like too much, Miss Mac invites him to rest on the friendship bench. The bell rings, break time ends, and Eddie heads back to class feeling ready.

The Dance Class

She is put off when the teacher, Miss Lofty, calls out her instructions, so she sits at the side with Woolly instead of joining in. At the end Miss Lofty gives her a crown and names her a fairy princess.

Humpty Onion

Pepi Nana, a doll who lives in the Little Toy House, writes a letter to the Moon, and Moon Baby flies down to visit and wakes the sleeping toys with a magical kalimba. The friends discover a nursery rhyme book about Old King Cole, which inspires Mr Onion to become 'Old King Onion.' In a make-believe Storyland the friends act out his story and fold and tear paper into a decoration for his crown to make him merry. They return to the toy house for tea, and the episode ends with each toy being wished good night.
