Fishing with Father Bear

They pack a picnic, row out in a boat, and Father Bear teaches Little Bear to be his first mate, showing him how to row and cast a line. They reel in only a small fish, and the day ends with the two of them playing and splashing together in the water.

Lamb Chase

On a calm Irish coastal island, the puffling Oona and her baby brother Baba meet a lamb that seems to have wandered away from its mother. Guided by a warm narrator, Oona decides to walk the lamb back to the meadow, but the lamb keeps leading Baba on playful detours around the island. In the end they discover the mother sheep was hidden in the tall grass the whole time, so the lamb was never truly lost. The lamb reunites with its mum while Oona and Baba look on.

On Puffin Rock at night, young puffin Oona and her baby brother Baba wake their parents to investigate a noise and find a lost frog trying to reach the pond. The family walks the frog across the dark island, singing a song and pointing out stars along the way, with a warm narrator adding facts about frogs and the night sky. They reach the pond to find many frogs gathered for spring, and the frog is finally home. The parents then guide the sleepy pufflings back to their burrow for the night.

Little Bear Goes to the Moon

Little Bear wakes up and decides to fly to the moon like a bird, wearing a paper-bag space helmet. After telling a doubtful but affectionate Mother Bear, he climbs a tree, jumps, and imagines he has landed on a moon that looks exactly like his own forest and home. He explores, finds 'moon food' and meets a mother bear who plays along with his adventure. The story ends back at home, where Mother Bear gives him lunch and settles him down for a nap.

Together We're Not Alone

Doe accidentally knocks over Ray's guitar while dancing, so the three friends set off for the Falsetto Forest, the place where new guitars grow. On the way in they pass trumpeting flowers, drumming flowers and jingling vines, and Doe, who is nervous about the dark forest, writes each new sound down as the group's expert. After Doe finds the guitar bush and Ray picks a new guitar, they realise nobody remembers the route home. Doe works out that they can retrace the sounds in reverse order, and the friends listen their way back out of the forest.

A Day Out

After a storm leaves their burrow waterlogged, a puffin family spends the day out on their Irish coastal island while it dries. Guided by a warm narrator, they play hide-and-seek, cross stepping stones by the pond, visit their sheep friend Mossy, and accidentally hide in a fox's den. Each small adventure passes calmly with the parents and children together. At the end they fly home to their now dry burrow.

Gone Fishing

Little Bear wants to catch a fish so Mother Bear can make fish soup, just like Father Bear would. He fishes by the pond, meets Owl, and lands a small real fish, then the two pretend to sail a big boat on the ocean where they imagine reeling in a halibut, an octopus, and even a whale. When his real fish seems to go missing, it turns up on his fishing rod. The family shares the soup together and Father Bear tells Little Bear he is a real fisherman, just like him.

Little Bear's Bath

Little Bear gets ready for a bath while he and Mother Bear wait for Father Bear to return from a long fishing trip. While bathing, Little Bear imagines his tub becoming a wide sea, where he meets a mermaid tangled in a fishing net and helps her get free as they look for Father. Back home, Mother Bear dries him off and reads aloud a letter from Father, who writes that he will be home tomorrow. The episode ends with Little Bear asking to hear his favorite part of the letter one more time.

Flickerwing Butterflies

Eureka, a young inventor, and her mom set out on a daylong hike to Big Echo Cave to watch the flickerwing butterflies hatch at sunset, just as mom once did with Nana. Along the way their plans keep going wrong: the sap bursts everywhere, hungry creatures eat their picnic, and a runaway bag tumbles them back down the hill in the rain. When they finally reach the cave, the butterflies have already hatched and flown off. Mom reframes the trip as its own wonderful adventure, and Eureka makes her own flicker wings from paper and sunlight before they head home to tell the story.

Camp Out

Max and Ruby are a rabbit sister and her little brother. During a heat wave, Ruby decides they will sleep outside in a backyard tent and sets it up, sending Max indoors again and again to fetch a flashlight, a radio, sleeping bags, pillows and marshmallows. Max would rather play and keeps carrying his toys outside instead. By the end he has filled the tent so full of toys that there is no room left for them, and the episode closes on Max's cheerful answer of 'Outside!'

Captain Mouse

A small mouse decides he wants a bath, and one idea leads to another until he becomes Captain Mouse setting off on a boat adventure with his friends Cat and Pig. They paddle across a lake, discover an island, and share a picnic, then find their boat has floated away. Oliver, the boy, returns from school to find they solved it on their own, and the story circles back to a bubble bath.

Rothschild's Giraffe

Leo and his sister Katie, both junior rangers, find a young Rothschild's giraffe in their garden and learn what makes it rare. They set out by jeep to bring it to a protected area in the savannah. They free the jeep, deliver the giraffe to its new home, and recap what they learned.
