The Meteor Shower

On a night on Puffin Rock, young puffin Una and her family and friends set out to watch the August meteor shower together. Along the way they gather hedgehogs, owls and others heading for the sand dunes, while a narrator explains how shooting stars are made. When Una learns her friend Silky is too worried to come, she leaves the show to reassure her and offers to stay by her side. Silky joins them, the friends welcome her with a berry, and the whole island watches the meteor shower together.

Paper Rocketship

Siblings Phoebe and Jay are set to watch a real rocket launch from their apartment building, but rain cancels it. Their neighbour Mr. Gurley shows them his record paper airplane that flew twenty feet, and teaches them to measure distance in feet. The children fold and launch their own paper rockets again and again, measuring each flight and adjusting the design. After several short attempts they finally fly one thirty-two feet, setting a new building record and earning a spot in the showcase.

Little Bear Goes to the Moon

Little Bear wakes up and decides to fly to the moon like a bird, wearing a paper-bag space helmet. After telling a doubtful but affectionate Mother Bear, he climbs a tree, jumps, and imagines he has landed on a moon that looks exactly like his own forest and home. He explores, finds 'moon food' and meets a mother bear who plays along with his adventure. The story ends back at home, where Mother Bear gives him lunch and settles him down for a nap.

Why Is the Moon Out During the Day?

Jessy, a girl with glasses, and Nessie, a purple monster in pyjamas, disagree about whether it is day or night when Nessie spots the moon in a daytime sky and wants her bedtime story. Curious about why the moon and sun are out together, they call up to the moon, try an observatory telescope, and are lifted into the sky by their friend Hugh G. They discover the moon and sun are best friends playing hide-and-seek, which is why both can appear at once. As the sky finally darkens, Jessy begins Nessie's bedtime story about the moon.

The Forest of Darkness

Siblings Emmy and Max use a magic scale to travel to Dragon Land, where their friend Ord is given the job of finding a star seed deep in the Forest of Darkness. Ord is afraid of the dark, so the friends help him by playing music, using dragon fire breath as a light, and encouraging him to keep trying. They discover the star seed only appears once the light is switched off, and Ord collects it despite his fear. The episode ends back home that night, when Ord receives his own star in the sky as a surprise.

The Space Shuttle

Twins Stan and Olivia decide to play astronauts and build a pretend space shuttle from a box, complete with a control panel and a takeoff button. They gather their friends and work out who can fly it, while Stan admits he is too scared to go into space. The group gives Stan the job of running the air base from the ground so he can still take part, and they act out a launch past stars and planets. The episode ends back with the friends happily agreeing that playing astronauts is fun.

Rosie's Rockin' Pet

Ada, Rosie and Iggy try to figure out the mystery of Rosie's pet rock, treating it as a science question to investigate together. They form guesses, test ideas and sing their way through the steps until they reach an answer. The animated story is followed by a short live-action segment in which a presenter shows real rocks and a meteorite found in Kansas. The friends end on a shared discovery before the closing credits and songs.

Squacky's Night Light Adventure! No Fear of the Dark!

Squacky, a young duck, gets scared of the dark while playing hide-and-seek and again at bedtime. His friends and family take his worry seriously, and together they float up to visit the Moon, who explains that the scary things he pictures are not real and that she watches over him while he sleeps. Back home, Squacky is given a rocket night light as a reminder and settles down to sleep. The episode closes with a lullaby and a gentle narrator.

In this episode of The Hoobs, four puppet friends, Iver, Tula, Groove and Roma, set out to answer one question: how can they get a star to hang in their Hoobmobile? They try to catch a falling star, learn from Roma that the sun is a star and that stars are far too hot to hold, and visit real children who show them how to catch and craft. After a story about a speck of light that learns to twinkle by being kind, the Hoobs make their own star and give it a sparkly twinkle, then present it on their 'Hoob News'. Iver ends the day by catching a falling star of his own.

Space Vacation

Matt the police car is stargazing through a telescope in Car City when he spots a UFO and sees that Rocky the rocket has fled in fright and run out of fuel. Carl transforms into Super Truck rocket form, counts down and launches into space to find him. He catches Rocky just before he flies into a meteor field, shares some of his own fuel, and the narration explains that the aliens had only wanted to help. Everyone returns to Car City, where the closing line notes that even an experienced traveller should always bring extras on a trip.

The Space Creature Problem

Peg, a young girl, and her blue cat travel through a colorful outer-space world filled with planets and small alien creatures. When the creatures create a counting problem, Peg works through it step by step, using numbers and grouping to find a solution, pausing to calm herself whenever it feels overwhelming. Cat stays close and helps along the way, and the two reach the answer together. The episode closes with the problem resolved, followed by end credits.

Harvey's Wild Ride

A second short story then follows friends trying to help Remy get a strawberry out of a glass of lemonade.
