Springy Surprise

Fig Finds A Shadow

With a hedgehog friend he heads into a dark cave to explore, shining the light to make shadows grow, shrink, and change shape. They pass glowing crystals and try making different shadow figures along the way. By the end, Fig works out that the mysterious shape is simply his own shadow.

Shiny Coins

Fig Flies a Kite

He carries it out to a sandy beach and an open grassy hilltop and tries different ways to get it airborne, gradually learning that he needs wind and movement to lift it. After several patient attempts he succeeds and watches the kite climb into the sky. Along the way he spends time with friends around the island.

On a Roll

Fig, a small blue fox, becomes fascinated by things that roll after he finds a round object near his home. With his brown bear friend, he explores balls, round stones, and other rolling shapes across a beach and a wooded village. Through trial and error he works out how to build a cart that rolls on its own. The episode ends back near his beached boat home once his rolling experiments come together.

Popcorn Picture Show

Fig, a young fox, finds a long loopy tube and joins his friend Maple and his companion Stick to gather popcorn for the evening picture show. At Popcorn Canyon the sun pops the kernels, but the light popcorn floats away whenever Fig tries to toss it down to the bowls below. After watching a mother cuckoo carry popcorn through the tree to feed her chicks, Fig realises he can use his tube to send the popcorn straight into the bowls. With the bowls full, everyone heads home for the firefly-lit picture show.

Shadowlands

Bluey and her friends Coco, Snickers and Indy invent a game in the park where the grass is dangerous and only the shadows are safe to walk on. Together they work out how to cross open sunny patches, helping each other along the way as they head towards the ice-cream van. The story stays inside one continuous game with no villain and no real danger. At the end, Bluey's mum arrives to collect them and the game ends with the children safely reaching their goal.

Beat Of The Drumsticks

Fig, a small blue fox, discovers a pair of drumsticks at his home on a beached ship and sets out to find things to drum on. He travels through the garden and into the woods, tapping rocks, logs, pots and other objects to hear the different sounds they make. Friends join him along the way and add their own sounds to the mix. The episode ends with the group drumming out a beat together.

Flood & Mud

On a rainy day in the forest, Zack and Lily discover that rain has formed a stream washing away the town's roads, and with the construction Zerbies they try blocking it with dirt, then dig a pit to hold the water, and finally redirect the stream away from town. In the second story Zack and Rex play hide-and-seek, and Rex, a big yellow car, keeps failing to hide behind a rock and under sticks and leaves until he covers himself in mud and blends into the plants. Rex is crowned the hide-and-seek champion, and the friends head off to wash the mud away. Both stories are set entirely outdoors among real water, dirt and trees.

The Rolie Polie

Sid wants to know how his tiny pet roly-polies move, so he brings them to school to investigate with his friends. Teacher Susie introduces the magnifying glass as a science tool, and the class uses it to look closely at skin, crayons, and the bugs themselves. Sid discovers that roly-polies walk on fourteen little legs and records his findings in a journal. He reports back to his dad during a backyard bug hunt and ends the day imagining a hat full of magnifying glasses.

Missing Muffin

Fig, a blue fox, discovers that a muffin has gone missing from his home, an old ship beached on a wooded island. With a magnifying glass in hand he turns detective and follows a trail of pink crumbs across sandy dunes and mossy forest clearings. Along the way he examines clues up close and gets help from his friends. The search ends happily when the muffin is found and the friends come together.

Starry, Starry Night

Doc offers to fix her friend Henry's new telescope so he can watch a meteor shower, and inside her toy clinic it appears as Aurora, a toy telescope who cannot see clearly. Doc runs an eye exam, diagnoses 'blurry star-itis' and works out that an eyepiece is missing. The toys search the dark yard, find the missing piece, and fit it back so Aurora can see. Everyone returns in time to watch the meteor shower together through the repaired telescope.
