Addy realises she should try a different approach with Carl, and instead of taking the game she offers to play it together with him. The two cooperate, steering the maze ball side by side, while Stillwater is heard trying something new of his own.

Dora and Pablo follow him down a cave, up a cliff and into the sky, and Pablo's long-practised linking-ring trick is what finally recovers the hat. Victor admits he never learned any tricks, apologises, is offered lessons, and the pair make it back in time to perform their show.
