Hide and seek
Hide and seek is one of the first games children play with each other, and it carries more than it looks. Finding someone who was gone, and being found yourself, teaches a child that people and things still exist when they slip out of sight. A calm, well made episode about hiding and seeking gives that feeling a shape: the waiting, the searching, the relief of the reunion.
For 2-year-olds
At two, hiding is still close to peekaboo. Your child is working out that you keep existing behind your hands, and covering their own eyes may feel like disappearing completely. Hiding spots are barely hidden, and that is the point: the fun is in being found fast. Look for episodes where the search is short and the reunion is warm, with a clear rhythm your toddler can predict and join in with from the couch.

For 3-year-olds
Three year olds start to grasp that the game has rules, even if they cannot follow them yet. They count out loud, peek between fingers, and often pick the same spot every round, then giggle before anyone gets close. Waiting is the hard part. Episodes that keep the tension light and the searching visible work best here, so your child can see where a character went and feel clever rather than worried.
