Patience

Patience is the skill of waiting, and for a small child it is genuinely hard work. Waiting for a turn, for a cake to bake, for a friend to arrive, or for a plan to finally work out asks a child to hold on to a feeling without acting on it. A calm, unhurried series gives children practice with that stretch of time in a safe way, showing characters who wait, wobble, and come out the other side.

For 2-year-olds

At two, waiting is mostly about the body. A toddler wants the snack, the toy, the cuddle right now, and a few seconds can feel enormous. What helps at this age is a slow pace and a clear, repeated rhythm: something is coming, we wait, it arrives. Look for a series where the wait is short and always resolved, and where a grown-up stays close and names the feeling instead of brushing it aside.
